What is your current question regarding our cruise?
Mine is: What info should I put on the recommended labels to make the disembarkation process quicker? So far I have got:
Name
Address
cell # and cabin #
Anything else?

I got my answer...you need one per bag and yes that is the right info to include!! I made 12 of these and all the "mailing" labels for who we want to send postcards too!!

My question is when you do the online check in forms and print them out what are you suppoed to bring with you? I am a bit confused, I have read the website and it says:

Bring the following items with you to the port terminal**:

Signed Online Check-in Signature Form
Signed Payment Authorization Form
Signed and completed optional forms from Step Five
Valid proof of citizenship for all members of your party — including children
Valid government issued photo identification for all adults in your party
I just feel like after everything I filled out I should have more stuff to bring but I guess that's it...

getting excited!!! I bought a couple of cute dresses for the cruise, my fiance is very excited as he says I do not dress up enough, lol. Not really excited about bathing suit shopping though i am rather well endowed up top and very hippy with a small waist (darned hourglass figure) so I just don't feel great about myself in anything.

Well I finally saved enough money to upgrade myself and Dh to a Verandah Room I would have been happy in my category 11, but that darned DH insisted on a verandah (mind you he didn't insist on helping to pay for it ) or I would have been fine with waiting to see if anything was available at the port, but only guarantees are showing up on anyone's websites... We have now switched from a real room to a guarantee (luckily we aren't involved in any FE's) with a balcony. See you all real soon

I am SO NOT the administrative/organized type. My poor DH can hardly stand it as he is Type A to the max. I am all over the place and eventually get it all done and can be creative but NOT CRAFTY, more creative thoughts then stuff. So yeah. Thanks for the reminder!

OH I am so gald to see this post! I really did not want anyone to miss out! Wonder if you could get this post added to the 1st post here on the thread in case someone just coming on board our thread or whatever could see it? Or at least keep posting so it doesn't get lost in the hundreds of post here.

It sounds like everyone is very busy planning, shopping and "gathering things" for the cruise.

We ordered DH's tux, shopped for an underwater camera, small backpacks for excursions and SHOES!

We have been very busy making lists, door magnets and a couple CDs for the ride to PC to get us in a "cruise mood".

LoriS-I would be wondering why the FE gifts kept falling out of the pockets.

I can't believe in 47 days we will be at the port getting ready to board!

BUSY! YES WE SHOULD ALL BE BUSY DOING THINGS. . .STUFF. . .AND THINGS. . .
. . .. . .. . .

OH! stuff for the cruise!

My hosue is wreck after non stop week and 700 miles logged on my car's odometer, my cruise piles are ridiculous, and I'm starting to panic over all the things that will not fit in my van!!!!!

Yet, somehow I keep adding to the piles

So today, instead of going to the grocery store, or keeping up with the ever present piles of laundry, or cooking up my zuchinni bread and asparagus and ham crepes, or the tomato quiche (produce is coming in from the garden but that's a whlole 'nother story) I decided I should try more clothes on the DD4 for the cruise, which led to realizing her princess capris I had a t-shirt made to match are too small!! and then I found a hem that was stitched wrong on one of her sundresses and fixed that and then made a hairbow to match and then I took in the waist of yet another skirt outfit and made a bow for that. . .and THEN, I made one more adjustment to one more dress.

A productive day? who knows! The DS is being a stinker about what he will and won't wear all of the suden and is refusing to even put on the tux shirt and cumberbund for me saying he does not want to wear it. . .He never has given me a lick of trouble about what he wears, why now?

I am avoiding totally the teenagers who sound like broken records every time I mention clothing for the cruise, "WHY do we have to dress up?!!!" Insert whiney voices. And a few "No I'm not's" and that's my life these days. Oh but the DH? He actually doesn't tell me I'm crazy for planning so far ahead anymore? I give the whole bunch of them 3 more weeks and then they will start telling me what we need to shop for so they can be ready to go. gggrrr.

So yes, just look for the darling, totally matched up DD4 and her rag tag siblings, and that will be us!

When you said "whole 'nother" - my husband makes fun of me all the time for always saying that!! And my daughter told me when she was writing a paper in class, she wanted to say "a whole nother" but then she was confused....."how do you actually write that??" Well, that was when she was about 12, and she's 20 now, so I'll tell her that's how you write it!!
I've never actually written it either, but now I know!

Yeah, I've got piles for the cruise too - I need to go ahead and pack up some stuff!!!!

With 4 dogs, too (yes, I am crazy), if I miss a couple of days of vaccuuming, it looks like I have black carpet.......

So I, too, have vaccuuming, laundry, cleaning, back to school stuff plan, etc, etc in addition to getting everything together!!

Yikes!!!

But it's all good!!! I'm so excited!!!

Well since it was a good day here (so far) I got Lauren into her Semi Formal dress to make sure it fit and take a few pics! This then brought on Nathan having to have his picture taken! Nathan has a white tie to go with his full tux but the way it is made won't go over his head so that is going to be fixed soon! His pink vest and bow tie are for semi formal night without the jacket! Lauren's dress is for semi formal night and god I had no clue what a princess I was raising until I put that dress on her! The last picture is the family! I hate having my picture taken Lauren had just thrown up all over me and my jeans so this shoot was miserable! Its not the best of us but it will give you an idea of what my gang looks like! I am getting great deals on summer clothes thank god!!! We got a dinner jacket from the childrens place that was 35 dollars at easter and I picked it up for 2.99! I love a good deal! I am about done with the FE gifts, just waiting for Nathan to start school so I have a little more time to sit and finish things! HC is home from the hospital and I am hoping he stays well so he can go on the cruise with us! I am with a few of you, if he can't we sail without him, which I hate to do but I hate loosing that money more! I hope the pics don't come out to big *crossing fingers*

we just got finished making our Mickey tie dyed shirts...I will post pic when dry and ready!

talked to my TA today and she said DCL is sending paperwork to guests 14 days out on average...sometimes a little sooner!

very slowly making FE gifts...plan to be sone soon...I plan to assemble them at the port so that will give me something to do if I can stand the excitement.

gabby...your children as so CUTE...love the outfits and the family portrait...nice!

holly- I have been wondering where to print those documents too...when you find out fill me in....all this excitement plus a wedding and a honeymoon WOW how can you stand it

kileybeth-sorry that I added things to your TO DO list...someone posted on the forums that it is not a BIG deal if you do not have labels and some even said if you do online check-in you do not even need labels? I made them anyway but no biggie! I did make mailing labels for those we want to send postcards too.

loris-so glad about your costumes...cute...my MIL made my kids outfits for pirate night and dh and I are winging it.

I think I have decided to ship a box...my dd will have a whole box of costumes (princess wear) and accessories a friend let us borrow some costumes for her to take and she is SUPER excited.

Nope, nothing yet. Getting hard to wait! I've been checking everyday too!

Of course, they could always change us again when we get to port the way I hear it!

Don't mind not getting an upgrade or whatever the only bummer would be getting bumped and then down again, I hear it has happened!

oh I am getting so excited reading everyone's post!
curlyblueeyes- so happy that you got to UPGRADE so jealous, but so happy for U! sent you a pm!
it looks like our ship is pretty loaded...we really want to change to a CAT 10 but there are only 10's available on deck 2...our personal preference is to be closer to the pool and drink station so we have not taken the leap yet but I think at this point that is all that will be available unless someone in a 10 upgrades

everyone keep posting as any cabin changes GTY assignments or DCL fairy come along! It is really exciting to see where everyone ends up in the scheme of things.

I am headed to look for my son a white oxford shirt and my dd a pair of black dress shoes..ds needs dress shoes too (thank goodness I am taking a list!) and a couple of more odds and ends clotheswise for the kids.

If anyone sees any "national" chain sunscreen sales please post...I need to check hotcouponworld.com too...I need to buy our cruise supply of sunscreen and I am thinking once school starts back I will go on SALE!

I am driving a rental car this week a lady hit my van at the grocery store. I hate the way rental cars smell and it is smaller than my van so i feel like I am in a go-cart!

I guess I need to clothes shop a little too...I have my formal night and Palo dress (one in the same dress) but I need a semi-formal ensemble...it is not fun for me to find dressy clothing because I like the stuff that does not look good on my big behind...I had lost weight for the cruise but amid the job related stress lately I have gained it back

Paige, Unfortunately, I don't know yet if Tink&Cinderella and her parents are still sailing with us, I certainly hope they didn't need to cancel their vacation. Anyways, I purchased her parents' souvenir magnet from Madrid a few weeks ago, so in the case that they are not sailing with us, anyone of you folks may find an extra FE gift into you Fish extender

Also there is something I wanted to tell you all since I joined this thread back in October 2008. As you all probably know I am now living with my family in Madrid, Spain, so I thought that maybe any of you folks woulld like to get any kind of souvenir from here, if that is the case, please feel free to PM me, email me at dennismcneely@hotmail.com or just add me to your FB list of friends and let me know, I will be more than happy to get a few souvenirs for anyone who is interested.

I'm at my mom's and I have to post some pictures of the costumes she made. I posted on the main board also.

She has now made black pants to go w/ this.

This is DH's, it's a gold colored shirt, but my picture's not that good. Luckily my parents are letting me borrow their camera for the cruise.

My oldest is threatining to lock himself in the cabin that night. I told him I was going to wear the dress to the grocery store then, I mean isn't a mother's goal in life to totally humiliate her teenager! My mom's making him a shirt incase he changes his mind.
