I don't have any problem with adding a few more to the FE, I'll go with whatever everyone else thinks. A stateroom tour would be cool, I'd love to see the Walt suite! Well gotta go mow grass, I have to mow almost 3 acres and at times I wish I'd just have a tiny lot. Have a good day everyone!

Happy Monday Everyone!

I'm at work but had to take a short break from that huge stack of files on my desk. I work for a law firm that does personal injury cases and we seem to get busier by the minute!

I was just thinking... in 95 days we will be at the port preparing to board! :mickeyjum

I would say 35 as a max for cabins fro FE. But I think a freeze is a good idea, that way maybe those after that point could start their own, and if there are any extras they could get a pleasant surprise.

OT Alert! but you are the ones I wanted to share this with!! HA! AS a first time cruiser (as I know some of you are) I found this interesting.

I mentioned a few post back about seeing a Carnival cruise ship in Baltimore this past Saturday. Well, because I am geeky like this and I always am the one to want the information, I googled around a bit this morning (when I should have been cleaning, running errends, whatever!) and found some interesting facts.

I will start by saying this. I thought the ship I saw was very pretty and a nice size. Carnival gets such a bad rap around the Disboards sometimes I was frankly supirsed at how nice and how small she looked sitting there in the harbor!

And now I know why! She was the Carnival Pride. Let me do a comparison for you!

Disney Magic:
83,000 tons
11 decks
875 staterooms
crew 945
passengers 1,750

Carnival Pride:
86,000 tons
12 decks
1062 staterooms
crew 930
passengers 2,124

There are more facts but what I see in these few are the Magic is gonna be awesome! Beautiful size ship, not to big, not to small. More crew and less passengers = great Customer service in Disney style.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled programing. . .:upsidedow

Hi All, checking up on the updates

As you know, we are NOT going on this part of the cruise anymore :guilty: But, I was still keeping up with Post 1..

I have been adding people to F/E and to the Celebrations list.

Is there anything else you need me to add? If so feel free to PM me and I will add it to Post 1..

Enjoy your cruise.. and Remember you'll get to do your Ressies for Palo and the Spa and the Excursions this weekend..

Hi pfishgirl

Not sure if we're on the FE exchange yet but can you add our honeymoon to the celebration list.

Thanks
David

I don't mind adding one more cabin to the FE list to make 35 cabins as I am a softy as well. However I worry that if we keep adding now after the cut off date how do we say no if someone else asks. I mean no offense to anyone. :sad2: I used to work at a childcare center and am always worried about being fair to everyone lol

I wasn't given a cutoff date sorry.. and I haven't look at the posts since I'm no longer going on the cruise.. I have just been trying to keep the post up to date with the PMs I get.. sorry if I messed up your counts.. :flower3:

ETA: I counted 28 participants.. Is there more that I missed??

Not to step on anyone's toes, but I think the one pfishgirl has on page 1 may be a little off. :confused3 Some people have dropped out and a bit more have been added. Yonkrs_girl has the most up to date list is what I gathered. Is that correct?

Hello Hello and Hello everyone!!!! Brian and Amanda here from sunny Charleston South Carolina here. Brand new to the board here but we are booked on the Sept 19th cruise. We've been on 1 other Disney Cruise before and 8 other Carnival cruises. We were married in Disney at the wedding pavillion almost 3 years ago and will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary onboard. Looking forward to making new friends and meeting new people. So HELLO again and looking forward to making our time pass by quickly. TTFN

wanted to add another celebration. We will be celebrating my 40th birthday.

Hi everyone,
My DH and I are on this cruise also. I posted on here very early on, then got side-tracked. We are interested in participating in activities with the exception of the fish extender. I read something just now about bracelets, we would like to have 2 of those if possible. We would also like any fun stuff for the cruise that has already been decided on-like lanyards, t-shirts, etc. Just let us know where and to who is arranging these things and we will send money. :goodvibes
This will be our 4th cruise with Disney. We are doing the B2B with the Sept.12th cruise. My DH will be celebrateing his BD on the 20th. We got married on Sept. 13th. We are very excited to be doing this B2B cruise with both sets of cruisers!!!! Vicki

Also, would people give me an idea of the excursions they are doing, and any hints or suggestions. It would be very much appreciated!!!

Hi Pfishgirl, You are an angel to try and keep up with that first page for us. Thanks for adding my families "special events" Now can you add our name onto the list:rotfl: (disname: Kileybeth) I do get that it is NOT THE OFFICIAL LIST but I also get it is the most visible and probably the one some may actually look at! oiy! I did a quick count up there today and you are correct it is only showing 29 cabins. So a few missing. I'm sure Yonkrsgirl has the skinny on that for you!

And not to be heartless and yes, I wimped and said okay, sure! add two more when asked politely BUT oh my oh my! Let's just be done with this already! :rotfl2:

Everything just seems to be moving much more quickly now for some reason. So yup, I'm getting nervous about getting it all done. Anyone else?

My dad's birthday is on September 21, 2009 and he is turning 83. We are also celebrating my mom's birthday who is 71 in a few weeks after the cruise. My parents are the kind that while I was growing up never spent any money... they worked hard, raised three kids, and in my mother's early 40's she became very ill... the doctor told my father that she could not go on working the way she had... we never had family vacations.... EVER...
:banana:So I have THE BEST idea for T&C's folks.:banana:
Since they never took a vacation and didn't get the chance to travel (save repatriating to Canada) how about everyone (stateroom that is) bring a refrigerator magnet from the area in which they live? That way they'll be able to take a 'virtual world tour' every time they make cereal. ;)

My alternative suggestion would be for everyone to bring two (different) postcards from your area with a birthday greeting to mom & dad. Then, T&C can put them in a mini album or something

Opinions?

So, I will again...send this out to everyone to vote on since I am just the "keeper of the list" and certainly not the one to make decisions on everyone's behalf :)
Additions are okay by us :thumbsup2

I haven't been here in the last couple days as new DH and I have been working on our FE gifts. We just finished a "trial packing" of all our FE gifts. It's just as we "feared" a whole suitcase full!
I noticed that our local TJ Maxx has several Kenneth Cole expandable duffels. They are the barrel style duffel and the to rigid ends zip together to form a 3" 'pancake'. If the items aren't too fragile maybe the largest Target duffel that folds down into a little pouch the size of at gallon ziploc bag.

Kathy, I hear you on the FE bulk. I am planning on shipping a box ahead to the ship. No way I can stuff anything else into our van with 6 people. No idea how I will get all the souvies and FE gifts back home yet!
Well if we have way too much stuff then I'll just have to bring some UPS labels from work.

Hello Hello and Hello everyone!!!! Brian and Amanda here from sunny Charleston South Carolina here. Brand new to the board here but we are booked on the Sept 19th cruise.
:welcome: to the DIS! And welcome to the cruise newcomers! :yay: I was trying to explain to a friend that going on a cruise if great but it's just that much more fun if you know some of the folks when you get there!

Great Idea!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2I will be bringing a magnet from Madrid, Spain as well as a postcard. It is always a pleasure for me to help make people feel happy.

So many newcomers I will just say welcome to all!!!

I am getting excited to see newcomers and read about their special celebrations. I would love to bring a magnet from Pittsburgh and postcard greeting; I think that is a wonderful idea.

dennismcneely: Thank you for the waverunner advice. Can two people ride or is it solo?
