Hello Everyone!

TODAY ( May 1st) is the date most voted for as out CUTOFF for FE participants to sign-up!

So, unless I hear from anyone else today - our list will be FINALIZAED and we will not add anyone else. This gives us lots of time to shop and plan!

I will send PM's to anyone that I am missing information for. I am going to try to go back through the posts before I do that but it may just be easier for me to PM so sorry if I ask for info. you have already sent me - just want to be sure our list is COMPLETE and up-to-date!

Thanks so much!

140 Days to Go
:banana::dance3::yay::woohoo::cool1::banana:

We got our kit yesterday first time cruisers and paid in full Just one more thing to make the waiting unbearable:cool1:

Yippee we got our kit! I know it wasn't that much new info but DHTB and I really enjoyed looking through it!

Your dress is very pretty Paige. I love black and white. The hot pink accessories sound way too cute. Hmmm I wonder if the color scheme for formal night is black and white? Nvcruiser posted a pic of her black and white dress. I have the same colors too, unless I change my mind AGAIN. :confused3

I can't wait for the updated FE! I started some of my FE shopping and am chomping at the bit to do more.

We finally got our luggage ordered. I sure hope all that "stuff" fits. I want to take the full slip I am wearing with my wedding gown for formal night. DHTB says it waill take up a whole suitcase. :rotfl:

thanks....I am wearing black and white because my guys are (tuxes) and my dd is wearing lavender! NO kit for us yet!:confused3

Paige your dress is lovely. I still haven't gotten mine yet, I may wear one of the dresses I've bought for past recent cruises. It's nice to hear about everyones ideas for formal night. I always enjoy dressing up, its like high school prom all over.. lol, no seriously the reason I bring up prom is that I have 2 nieces that graduate this year and their prom was last night, they were beautiful.

Well I got the extra part time job and it will pick up the income my dh David lost, I only hope come June he doesn't get the layoff. Pixie dust our way please.

Anyways everyone have a great day.
Tammy

We are all gonna rock the black and white! How fun! Glad to be back and to catch up on everything!

Have you thought about using vacuum bags for your slip? I assume it's one of the poofy ones? You just suck all the air out and it fits with plenty of room... and they will let you use their little ones on the ship to pack it back away... just a thought!

Hope everyone has had a good week! Just got home from an elite national choir competition... our kids took 3rd, so we're pretty happy! It's always nice when the small town kids show up the big city prep schools! Now that it's over with, I'm ready to completely focus on September! ;)

I signed up for the Yahoo Cruise Group and am still waiting for approval. Is that group active?

I am just starting to plan for the cruise and trying to read as much here before I make any decisions. Thank you all for contributing !

Tammy-sending some pixie dust to you and your DH for plenty of $ to cruise and for your DH's job to be very secure. :flower3:

Congrats Nvcruiser on the 3rd place win! Thank you for the tip on the vacuum bag. I hadn't thought of that and it sounds like it would work.

Thank goodness for Southwest. I would never get all our stuff and the FE gifts packed with the baggage restrictions on other airlines.

Now on with the planning! :cheer2:

What a great idea, we have used the bags to get on the ship, but never thought about asking to use a vacuum to get back off the ship. LOL

magical tink, I think Paige (cakesnjammom)set up the yahoo group, maybe pm her? I haven't gotten over there much as I can barely keep up with everyone here.

nvcruisers, definitely rockin' the black and white on formal night. Black is my go-to color all the time so no matter what my family wears I will be in black I'd guess.

funny story, this past summer we had a big family wedding and all of my sisters, my mom, and lots of other family members showed up in black without coordinating the effort. Nice pics!

Tammy, sure hope all works out job wise for you and family.. it's tough times for sure. :flower3:

yonkrs girl Yeah for FE cut off. While I do feel bad for those coming onboard later, I think this cutoff will help keep things managable. Can't wait for the final counts of male/females/ ages/groups so I can start to visualize our group!

cinderelly, ditto the space bag idea. I am starting to "sweat" the packing effort already. No clue how it will all fit in. (driving with 6 in a van, nothing on top) must fit inside van to go. seriously considering doing laundry onboard. seriously do not want to do laundry onboard. :sad2:

Back to reality now, no sun, rain and more rain, and a high temp. of 56 degreees today. How sad is that for May?

Hi all,
Just popping in for a quick 'hi'!:cheer2:
Almost to the 4 month period!! Just about have my FE gifts done, well, no not completely-but, they are done in my mind!:yay:
I like the idea of the check in date each month. At least I will be able to do that one. Getting ready for summer to come, trying to set up summer camp or something for DD. With the heat here in Arizona, it is really hard to find something that you won't melt while doing. It is supposed to be in the 100's this week.:scared1: I start classes:eek: again tomorrow, so I will drop off the face of the board (I will be lurking still-yep, addicted to the 'dis'). Going back to school after almost 20 years of being out is just about the hardest thing for me!

Pixie Dust to all!

I'm jealous! I had an idea for what I was going to do for the FE's, but then I couldn't seem to make it work the way I pictured it in my head! :confused3 Guess it's back to the drawing board! ;)

Paige,

I LOVE the dress, so beautiful and yet still fun and flirty :) I still have no idea what to wear for mine! I am still losing weight so I think I will wait on looking for now. 25lbs down and still more to go! What kind of shoes are you wearing..I was thinking of wearing a nice pair of beaded sandals, but I don't wanna be too informal. Thoughts?

Also...I GOT MY PACKET ON TUESDAY!!! I read through it right away :) It doesn't have anything most of us wouldn't already know, but it's nice and handy and has some good reminders. It aso tells you the official date you can book: June 6th for me!

Is anyone else doing Disney before and planning on getting tix for MNSSHP tomorrow when they go on sale? I am so excited! This is our second time doing this and we can't wait! Hope everyone is doing well :)

Disney Hugs for all! :grouphug:

Holly

Yes, my dh and I will be mousing around before the cruise. We did the MNSSHP last year and loved it. Much better than what we have out in California.

Not sure exactly if we are staying at CBR or POR. I think we'll be there fore 5-6 nights on the free dining program.

I have the FE ideas in my head too so had better get started. Looking forward to meeting all.

Does anyone else run? We've taken up walking and now DH wants to try to work towards a 5k. We are starting the Couch 2 5k schedule with hopes of doing a 5k here locally in June and then doing the Tower of Terror 5k in late October.

We want to keep up our training while on the ship in September. I know there's a track but we've never used it before. Anyone?

Sooo, what's everyone up to this gloomy, cold, rainy May? oh yeah, that's just where I live!

You know, Delaware? Where 33% of the nations swine flu cases have been confirmed? In this tiny little state? ugh! More cases per capita then any other state? Cozumel is sounding safer then DE at the moment! Gotta wonder what September will bring?

Throw in a 50th anniversary (overnite hotel stay) (plus 500 miles of driving) a last minute magical 4th birthday celebration (overnite hotel stay) a photo shoot for said 4 year old. shopping for said 4 year old. locked out of the house for 4 hours today. meeting for both teens (50 mile round trip) that I ended up not leaving them for (swine flu confirmed case in meeting building where sick person was for last three days:scared:) and they now need to make up. unexpected visit from DM that needed to involve unpleasant topics and that about sums up my last 5days. Is it Friday yet? :laundy: if it was only the laundry making me look like that!

Can I please go away on a Disney cruise and have someone take care of me for a change? :upsidedow

Woooo Hooooo

It is so hard to believe it's only 135 days...so close...yet still so far but before we know it we will be at 100 and it goes so fast from there to me!
Of course when you create a countdown chart at 150 days...it seems faster anyway - LOL! :lmao:

:banana::cool1::dance3::yay::woohoo:

Really have to get started on my FE's, too!

Gamomof2, Glad you asked :thumbsup2, there is a walking & jogging open-air track on deck 4, if I remember well, each lap around the ship is about 1/4 mile. Although I have never done it, I know they also do a 5K run at Castaway Cay early in the morning. I currently run a daily 5K and I certainly look forward to doing the CC 5k on our September cruise . In case you are interested here is the link to the CC 5K run thread.

Hope this helps.

Just wanted to check in. Hope everyone is well. My husbands half brother in Newcastle UK passed away at age 39, some kind of internal bleeding, now my dh has never met him which makes things easier but it is still sad nonetheless. My dh dad was married before while serving in the military, his first wife was from UK, and after the divorce she moved back taking their son. My dh dad didn't know where they were and just 1 year ago found him via the internet. They were planning a meeting then this happened.
I love to walk, I can't ever get anyone to walk with, and I live in a area where I wouldn't want to walk alone, its not dangerous by no means just traffic. I could never run a 5k, although I wish I could.
Most of the country as seen its fair share of bad weather, hope everyone is ok, the fires in Southern CA is terrible, hope they get that under control. Everyone take care.
