9/16-10/3 The trip that dreams are made of....

What a magical installment. I think that one was my favorite of all of them. That's so great that you were riding in the front of the monorail when Wishes was going off!

I get just as emotional. My fiancee has me on video teary eyed at the opening ceremony over at Magic Kingdom...sometimes you just can't help yourself!

It's wonderful that you had such a nice and magical night, just the two of you :)

Oh, and if I don't get a chance to say it later, I hope that you and your family have a very wonderful, magical, Merry Christmas!

Oh, I'm warm & fuzzy all over after reading about your special night with Aladdin! What a wonderful memory. My DH likes his downtime and my yougest DS gets tired after a full day, but I think DS10 would love some mommy & me time - I just may have to try this next time - thanks so much for the idea!! I'm enjoying your trip report so much, I'm going to be kinda sad when you finish!

WHAT CUTE OUTFITS YOUR KIDS ARE IN!! Where ever did you find those? I love that Minnie dress! And those overalls are beyond adorable! Not to mention that two cuties are wearing them! Do you have any trip reports posted that tell about your stays at the WL?

Thanks for reading along.
No I did not know about the Disboards when we went to WL. Our trip in September was at the Poly and I could have tried to write a report and we have alot of pictures but DS2 is a handle (you have 3 so I'm sure you know what I mean). The outfits were custom made by someone on Ebay. Thanks for the compliments on the kids. Yours are cute too. I would love to take a trip like yours, it sound so relaxing. We usally only stay for 8 nights so it's hard to do everything. Do you like the parks or the cruise better? You probably can't pick :goodvibes . Also what did you think of the Poly? We liked it a little better than WL mostly because of the monorail.

You are so right...I really cannot pick...it's sort of like trying to pick out one favorite amongst your children...you love them all dearly...but you know they are different...yet still equally loved...I guess that means that I just cannot pick. I loved both of them. And we will do both again. They are so different but the Disney magic is alive and well on either vacation!!

I liked the Poly. It was nice...but it didn't "hit me" the way Animal Kingdom Lodge has (although that was so far from everything), it was not the over the top fun that ASMovies was and the Contemporary is just beyond words great in my opinion...so while the Poly is not my top choice at WDW, I can see how some people would fall head over heals in love with it. I LOVED being on the monorail though! SOOOOOO easy to get from place to place. I think the monorail is such an amazing way to get around. HOWEVER, I loved walking to MK from the CR even more then I loved the monorail! To be able to walk to MK in under 10 minutes is super cool!!! :)

What a great night! We're not planning to do EMH because DD4 and DH will be tired, but MAYBE DS8 and I can do it! Thanks for the idea!!! :thumbsup2 It sounds like you had such a great time! :goodvibes

Although I have spent all too much time reading today, I am glad I joined late, I can't handle suspense . . . popcorn::
Oh do try it! I think it's a great time! I cannot wait to have some special time with the other boys in the future. It was a most magical moment in time!! :thumbsup2

You wrote it beautifully! I could remember every emotion you had as my own. It has now been over a year ago and my daughter and I still remember it like it was yesterday. On our night my daughter was on a hunt to find Cinderella pins for her sister. I thought it was soooo sweet because she fights with her sister all the time. :rolleyes1 .

We watched the fireworks only long enough to see Tink fly cause she is my daughters favorite.

Now, I want to do this someday with the younger one, it is not fair for the oldest to get everyting.. lol.

I truly was not the same mom. In my regular life I have a short temper and I am a YELLER.. :furious: I hate that, but now when I am STRESSED I try to go to my HAPPY place :bounce: :Pinkbounc :cool1: .

Vant wait to read more.
Did she ever find the pin she was searching for?? And I think it is so amazing to have those moments with your children...you are right...a night alone when you can just relax and be your fun loving self with someone you love so much is just beyond words great!

More great installments! Your time with Aladdin sounds so wonderful and magical, it was really nice to read about it. :cloud9:

I've never made bubble tea at home, I go to Chinatown in NYC or a similar area (not Chinatown, but a huge Asian population with many stores, restaurants and shops) to buy it. There are several tea houses that specialize in it. I have seen kits online to make your own, but I don't know how it would come out. :)
Thanks for the bubble tea info!

 :wizard: It was a magical night! Everything seemed brighter, funnier, "everythinger". When I finish this report up...it will be time to start our next trip's pre trip report...I think I got a bit addicted to these boards! ;)

Thanks again for reading!

My kiddos are just a few months younger than "Aladdin". It's so important to spend that quality time with them. With my kids, the girls will talk non-stop, but I notice DS starting to "pull away" a bit sometimes. That's when it's time to take him aside & do the one on one time. It makes me sad that he won't always be my "little boy", but he'll always be my baby. Loved that installment. Wishing you & yours the merriest of Christmases! Have a great holiday & have fun unveiling your next trip to the boys on New Years Day!

i just have to tell you that i just sat here for three hours reading your trip report..I loved reading about your trip and you have a beautiful family! there were a few moments in which i got goose bumps ! Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

As we made our way over to the turnstyles I heard "Aladdin" cracking up behind me?? What would have him laughing so hard?? Well...ummm....he was talking to a tree...yep, you heard me right. And no, he hadn't finally cracked from a long morning of waiting to get into the parks...the tree actually approached him and started to talk with him.

That tree was FUNNY! After cracking a few jokes with "Aladdin" it came over to me and started asking me questions, "Where are you from? Do they have trees there?" I was cracking up!

As we started to walk away the tree asked "Aladdin" to "Spare me a wee drink please!!" And "Aladdin" looked at me for the okay...I must have looked a bit unsure as well because the tree said..."Come on...just a little sip...it's HOT out here! Pour it in!!" And "Aladdin" did...he gave the tree a "drink" by pouring a bit of his water bottle into the pot. This was one of "Aladdin's" highlight moments! He still laughs about the talking tree! He really had a lot of fun! I know someone must have been controling him via remote...but they stayed well hiden and did a GREAT job interacting with us! We all thought it was super funny!

I have to share.....

The tree's "friend" is actually in your picture!! :rotfl: He's all the way to the left in tan cargo shorts, black shirt and black sneakers. He was wearing the same thing when we saw him last month! (notice his hand up to his mouth?) :goodvibes My kids also loved the tree! He was hysterical!

WONDERFUL trip report! I can't wait to read more. It's taken me the past 2 days to read all you've written so far and what an awesome experience you all have had!! Thank you for all of the cruise tips you've shared! I want to do DCL so bad, but we're DVC members and the conversion isn't all that great. So for us, it's so much more reasonable to go to the parks. Someday soon I'll talk DH into it!

Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us. I love the pics and your sons are SO handsome!

Thanks for the great trip report. It reminds me that so much of enjoying a trip is attitude. I've read TRs where the people were so unhappy, complaining about everything -- and I've just got to think that some of these people will just not be happy anywhere. I like to think I'm like you, and am able to let little things roll off my shoulder and enjoy myself.

When I was reading about losing your stuff at TL, it reminded me of when we were on our way to our Disney cruise in June. We'd stayed at the Hyatt the night before the cruise, and hadn’t rushed down for the first bus, just thought we’d take our time.

As we went to line up behind the CM with the Dopey sign I pulled out our documents. Went into my purse for my ID… where’s my ID? I had thought I was being pretty smart the day before carrying my ID around in the back pocket of my jeans. It worked out well when I had to pull it out several times at the airport, but I had forgotten to take it out of my pocket!

I started to panic, and told the CM about my dilemma. She radioed to someone else who took our party downstairs to where they were loading the luggage. When we got to the garage, I saw a truck the size of a small moving van almost ½ filled to the top with luggage. How was I going to find my garment bag in there? Then, in a pile of luggage waiting to be loaded was my bag -- luckily, I knew where the jeans were and found them right away -- tragedy diverted!

Sorry to go on so long -- had to tell my story!

I am taking time out of my packing because I just HAD to post this. This week my family was up in Indianapolis (where we are moving). Me and the girls were driving through hubby's new office complex to pick him up from work and these signs were everyone in the complex. I started CRACKING UP and of course immediately thought of you!!!! My girls thought I was nuts driving around the complex and taking a picture while driving but I HAD TO...

GREAT report! You're getting me so excited about the trip we've decided to do this year! I've been addicted to reading your trip report for the past week and finally am up to date. Looking forward to reading the rest of your vacation!

I have to ask though, it's been bugging me all day .. can you fill me in on the secret fast pass machine in Epcot? I have to admit as much research as I've done in the past this is one secret that I've never heard of .. please share!

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE BARB!! I think I may have a change of plans...we may trick the boys tomorrow and tell them that we don't have a Disney trip in the works but rather are going to spend a long vacation in GA this year with family...after reading about some of the surprises people pulled off we thought it just might work...BUT....the problem is me. I am a BIG mouth! I don't know if I can hold in a surprise trip...so over the next few hours dh and I are still going to discuss what we will tell the kids.  Just don't know yet!

ANYHOO....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!:dance3:

Update in the making!! :)

THANKS for the info! How funny! I was looking and couldn't spot him (although I did spot the "friend" of the talking garbage can in Tomorrowland at MK). That will make an interesting backstory to share in my scrapbook...how it took writing a trip report to find the tree's "friend". :lmao:

OH you are a DVC member...that is my dream. One day I will talk dh into sharing that same dream. ;) And then I WILL be a member! ;)

Thanks for reading along!!:thumbsup2
