We did one day hoppers this past Saturday and it was a good trip, but not one of our best just due to me suffering an irritation from the wildfire smoke. I do have seasonal allergies and the smoke was incredibly thick in Vegas a couple of days before our trip started, so I was already bothered by my throat prior to the trip. Although the air quality in Anaheim wasn't terrible during our trip, I'd mark myself as sensitive to wildfire smoke and may not book during wildfire season again just to be safe. We have to drive through Cajon Pass coming and going, middling between the Line and Bridge fires and it was very smoky through this stretch.

Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn remains wonderful (this was our third stay).

We stayed mostly at DL and hopped over to CA for a while in the afternoon. I have finally learned to not venture to Paradise Pier mid-afternoon because the walk over is so darn hot, even when the weather is nice. My husband loves TSMM, so we walked over and of course they started having technical difficulties as soon as we jumped in the LL line. We came back later and we were able to ride, however.

When this happened, we walked away and I went into my slingpack to check on getting a LL for RSR, but I forgot to re-clip it and my Minnie ears fell out, unfortunately. I realized what happened as soon as I went to put my phone away and we retraced our steps immediately, but they were nowhere to be seen. I reported them via the app to lost & found, but I'm not too hopeful. They were a gift from a coworker from Tokyo Disney Resort, so they are unique enough if a CM picked them up to get out of the walkway. I can't imagine someone would swipe them off my back or pick them up off the ground to wear (yuk, I sure wouldn't), but who knows. I'm mostly upset that I lost something that was gifted to me.

A note on merchandise- I bought very little during this trip and I'm somewhat uninterested in a lot of what they have available anymore. They barely have magnets anymore and what they do have is those die-cut flat things or multi-packs that don't say "Disneyland" and are just characters or park treats. Keychains are often sold in packs of 5 (seriously?), which would be great if you wanted to hand out several, but not if you're looking for something for one person. I finally found a single classic Mickey keychain at Elias & Co. in CA. Merchandise is markedly more expensive overall, even for smaller things, but I guess we're seeing that everywhere.

One last thing- I loved the Mickey Mouse Mummy Shake at Schmoozies, but what in tarnation is the black stuff they put on the rim of the cup?! That stuff STAINED my hands and got absolutely all over them. I was scrubbing like mad in the bathroom and I just had to wait for a little bit of it to wear off.

So sorry about your ears. thanks for the update and thanks for the warning!! My 6yo dd will be with me so we'll skip the black stuff!! ;)

Thank you! I'd probably ask for a cup without the stuff on it, maybe they'll leave it off for you! The milkshake was delicious otherwise.
