after 9/11 I volunteered with some of the firefighter groups, I got to know many of the firefighters who lost their brothers that day, as well as some of the firefighter familes....

Ocsurfer - tell your dad for me.... Thanks, just for doing what you do. I am sure he has seen alot of action out where you are. Firefighters are always first responders in earthquakes, even minor ones.
 
Ren... that is an amazing happy/sad story all rolled into one. Along with the weirdness factor of a helicopter crash thrown in. In alot of ways, 9/11/2001 was a very strange day. according to most reports, those buildings should have had twice as many people in it as they did, on a normal day. Thousands, for some bizarre twist of fate, did not go in to work that day.
 
i rember it perfectly i was ready to go to my day i secound grade and i was board wanting for my mom to be ready becuase drops me off then goes straight to work well i was wait got so board waiting i turned on the tv (i never really do this when im waiting for my mom to be ready to drop me off at school) well just the luck at that moment i turn it on the secound plane it and im like mom a plane just hit a building and she just it problay a movie and then she comes out like a minute later is like omg thats the twin tower. then i went to school and like that day the teachers just keep going in and out of the class becuase they went to listen to the radio.everyone has family has family that died that day becuase were all family in this world but lucky i live in il so i never really knew when the twin towers were
