A few weeks ago, the President called on Americans to serve this weekend in remembrance of 9/11.

Anyone else planning to do any type of service? I co-led two groups of college students in a 4 hour cleaning and mentoring activity. Was crazy to realize that many of the young kids we were mentoring weren't even alive in 2001; it was so life changing for me, but to these kids its just another thing to learn in history class.

Considering how anxious dissers have been in the past volunteering in 2010 for the free tickets and the past few years for GKTW, I can't imagine that I'm the only one who took the challenge this weekend.

I volunteer 12 months out of the year as a Scoutmaster for my son's Troop, but tomorrow we are helping cleanup after the major flooding we have had in this area.

My full time job is volunteer, but like you did, I made the special effort to work this weekend as well.

Nobody else? Guess football took priority :confused3

I honored the NYPD, NYFD, EMT, and thousands who lost their lives by helping others today. I volunteered at our local school who was recently hit by a crisis. I also watched some of the memorial coverage.
