9/11 a personal note

I don't know if they are carrying the 9/11 ceremonies nationwide.. but our local stations here in New York are at this time. The children of the victims are reading each name of those who perished. This was harder for me last year to see those names being read because of the children reading these names. . This is a hard day for of all of us. We lost 8 people in our parish on that day. 3 NYFD , I NYPD and 4 civilians. and one of our neighbors who lived around the block from us who was also a NYFD member. He left behind a daughter and son and his wife. I see those two kids playing with the neighborhood kids during the warm months and see them through the school bus windows. and I always thank God that they have such a strong mother. It is so heartbreaking to see how his son looks so much like his dad. I hope we will never forget this ... at times I can see we are unfortunately

(Hugs) and prayers to you Joe. I am watching the ceremonies right now here in PA and my prayers are with all of the families, co workers, friends & neighbors. Also prayers to all those that helped and worked at the sites after the attacks. It is a difficult day for many people.

I'm watching the same thing here in Kentucky. No dry eyes here! I didn't know anybody personally but my heart aches for all those who lost a mom, dad, son, daughter, friend, neighbor, etc. I pray for all of them. I can't imagine the pain they are going through. Extra hugs for all!

{{{HUGS}}} Joe. I still remember you waiting for injured people at the hospital. It was so heart breaking that there were so few to treat. Thank you for all that you did then and continue to do for your community.
