Welcome DVCTigger!!! That'd be neat if your DD & parents comes along -- I still travel w/ my parents and we have a blast. We went to WDW this past April.

Welcome Sillysox!!! Generally we just do Disney when we're in LA but we also really enjoy going to the Getty. The Getty Center (big museum) is in LA and the Getty Villa is in Malibu. I was about 10 the first time we visited the Villa. I'm sure someone else will have more LA suggestions. And to the DISboards!!!!

Beach is always a good option...you could do shopping that way too. Would you be staying in LA or closer to DLR? If you stay near DLR, then good beach options would be Seal Beach or even Newport Beach (fancy schmancy shopping stuff). If you're in LA, then Venice will give you lots of people watching/shopping, or my personal favorite for the beachy vibe (because this is where I spent my childhood beach days) is Manhattan Beach.

I'm a local LA girl...the South Bay really, think 20 minutes south of downtown LA. So just let me know if you guys have any questions!

Thanks for the welcome giftcard. I'm actually traveling with my parents and sharing a cabin with my sister in October, 7 night eastern on the Magic! It will be my first cruise without my DH, but it will be fun to travel with my parents and sister. This will be my sister's first ever cruise ad she is SO excited. I am closing in on platinum, so it will be fun to experience the cruise through a newbies eyes. She's gonna love it! I wouldn't be suprised to see her bunk in my parents cabin on this pacific coast cruise.

Just booked this cruise on board the Aug 9 Alaska cruise. Not sure we're going to keep this one but we thought it sounded good and the price seemed right. We live in the LA area so it would be one-way airfare for us. In 2007 we did a repo from LA to Vancouver on RCL but it also stopped in Victoria BC.

This one looks fun with two days in SFO.

Just thought I would check in and see who else was planning on this one.

We booked this cruise while on the Alaska cruise in May, looking forward to returning to SF, such a beautiful city.

Love the logo that was created, am having trouble copying it to my signature though. HELP.

Re putting the logo in your signature. Save the image on your computer. Then upload it to Photobucket/Flickr (or any photosharing site). I used Flickr. Under the "share" tab, there's a HTML/BBCode which I copied and pasted into my signature. Hope that helps.

Congratulations on booking this for your honeymoon! It should be loads of fun. Here is a pic of Lombard street from Coit tower I took the last time my wife and I were in SF. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2012, although we're planning a different cruise to celebrate that one.

Thanks Kathymford for the beach info, if I have any questions closer to the time I know who to ask!! Still excited! I've now put a countdown on my phone: 381 days to go! (I'm assuming it's correct I'm too lazy to get out the calendar and count it hee hee) We've been having some family issues my mother in law's health is not very good and so there's been some stress that will likely continue as time progresses. It's so nice to immerse myself in cruise and disney thoughts from time to time! Stops me from going bananas! Haha ok i admit I said that last sentence just so I could use that emoticon...

Hi Everyone!

My DH - Donny, and I will be doing this cruise as the 2nd part of a B2B with the last Alaskan cruise! We are huge Disney people and this will be our 6th cruise - GOLD Castaway Status - yeah!

We will be visiting DL (2nd visit) after this cruise and I will probably have tons of questions about that as well as California in general too!

I would be interested in doing Fish Extenders and other activities! Can't wait!

Unfortunately, we had to switch this cruise, too. We've watched flights for a while and it really was apparent that would be the deal-breaker. Soooo we opted for a port we can drive to/from.
