9-08-2010 Pirates through the Mediterranean/ Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A Pirates Life for Us

We're excited too. Have spent most of a lazy Sunday afternoon watching cruisecritic.com and disunplugged Youtube videos from earlier this year.

But we have a wedding to survive first ... younger son marries a Jersey girl on Aug. 21 in the garden of our condo, and they're not here to supervise the planning, so DW is way more invovled than she ever expected to be as mother to two sons!

So ... we're gonna need the rest!

In any event, we are sooooo looking forward to this. We get to BCN on the Sat. before and spend two days with my flatmate from my days at Univ. of Madrid. Haven't seen them since 1992. They live in Alcoy, Spain. Then we get two days with my bestest friend ever in Sant Cugat just NW of Barcelona through the mountains. I manage a weekend with them every other year or so, but it's like family so we love the visits, even if they're short. Get to celebrate birthdays with them the night before we leave.

Enough excitement Stacie ???!? :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Congrats on the wedding! Here's hoping that everything goes wonderfully, when it all gets done, they'll be happy!

Catching up with friends is great, we're hoping to catch up with some friends that my husband worked with in London while we're there (get in on 9/3, couple days in London, couple days in Paris...)

Connie,

Unfortunately, I don't have space for the 6 of you. Here's the email for the company Low Cost Transfers Malta <booking@transfersmalta.com. I have been conversing with Jesmond.

PrincessSchmoo & Caaimee,

Ronald and I are in Whittier, but borderline La Habra which of course is Orange County. If we cross the street, we would be in OC!

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Twee

:wave2: Twee - I'm from Norwalk! DD goes to St Paul HS which is borderline Whittier and SFS. (WDNews is DD's favorite paper since she made her goal of appearing in it at least twice last year) I am now a subsriber. :teeth: Seems there are quite a few DIS'ers very close to me. I have a friend that lives within 5 miles of me that I met on the EBPC. Turns out, she lived within feet of my DH and was in the same grade as us and grew up knowing some of the same personal and HS people we did. Its quite shocking to realize that they recognize some of your friends. Sometimes, its amazing how small this world really is. :rotfl:

OK, I sent out some pm's and can't recall who or what I was replying to so bear with me if I act a little spacy. I am recovering from a belated birthday party given in my honor and a volleyball tournament from this past weekend. I hope all are getting excited. I need to check what came in the mail as I have a package waiting on my to open it. Just had to check in here first.

Yup - paperwork and luggage tags for this cruise. I'm a little late but I got them!

Doing the Document dance!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:
Nice surprise!!!!!!
Now it's time to pack!!!!! I'm taking half the cloths.... and planning on twice the fun!!!!

we got our docs today, too (for the Med portion at least)

If everyone who will be joining us for the Malta tour can email me their cabin #s so I can finish my list, that would be wonderful. I just want to make sure I can contact you just in case.
Please email me at thuyronald@yahoo.com and put Malta on the title of the email so I don't accidentally delete it.

Unfortunately, we haven't gotten our docs yet...maybe sometimes this week.

PS. My brother and his girlfriend will be joining us on this cruise so they will be joining us for the Malta tour.

eeyorelvr10,

Wow, you are really close to us. It's great that you have met people who live nearby. It's always fun. Of course, we have met people from all parts of the world and feel grateful to have known them all.

Hello all!

I just booked this last minute cruise this past weeked and I am SOOOOOOO excited!!! :yay: I haven't slept much trying to decide on excursions.

This is my fourth cruise, but my first as a solo (female, thirtysomething), and my first Disney. Did I metion how EXCITED I am!!!

Now that I have discovered this board, its great to see that this thread is so active. I guess it will take a bit of time to read back through the postings. :surfweb:

Any tips for a first time solo cruiser?

Thanks,
Marina

Well, first of all, Welcome, and I am sure we will all adopt you! My friend Susan, is traveling solo, too. She knows us, but that's all. And I think there's another solo traveler who knows a few of the people on this thread. W\

We will be having a wonderful time!

Although my cousin and I aren't really traveling solo we are without our husbands. Feel free to tag along if you are on any of our excursions. My name is Debbie and my cousin's name is Jill.
