Hi,
We arrive to MCO at 9:00am. We are most likely renting a car. We are staying at POR. What time could we expect to get to Epcot if we went straight there? If we decided to stop by the hotel first, what time would we be likely to get to Epcot? Any suggestions on what time to make our first fp? Thanks!

With a stop at Publix we're in the lobby of Board Walk, adjacent to Epcot, before 10 am with a typical 9 am landing, we go straight to the Dollar kiosk and we're off. Without a grocery stop you'll do better.

Depends on if you are checking luggage, which car rental, and other factors. When we did just carry ons, we were off the plane, at our Alamo rental, and out of the airport within 20 minutes and a 30 minute drive to Epcot. Park and walk up and we would be there by 10.

If you check luggage, it can take half an hour after the plane lands for the luggage to appear. Then if you have a long line at the rental counter (if you don't have a rental where you can go directly to the garage), it could be 10:30-11 before you got to the park.

just remember your flight can be delayed. there was a post I think yesterday to get "pixie dust" to get her family there. things do happen

Lots of variables here, but one good thing is early AM flights sometimes get in early, before things get mucked up for the day.

To me, one of the most important things is to make sure you get a car rental that does NOT require you to go to the counter in the terminal. My personal preference is Alamo, where you can do an online checkin (I usually do it the day before) and you just go straight out to the garage. I know Dollar and Budget also have options that get you around the counter. A counter checkin can potentially cost you a half hour, or even more, depending upon when you hit it.

If, for some reason you have to do a counter checkin, have the driver go directly to the rental counter and let other family members wait upstairs at the luggage carousels. You'll save at least a little time.

In any event, I don't think I'd make a FP much before 10:15...and I think you'd show up much closer to the end point of that FP at 11:15, and make it for your lowest priority FP, just in case you don't make it.
