hello,

Our July dates have changes in MK hours..,what should we expect for a regular 8am opening vs 9am? Much less crowded or not really? Wondering if we should switch our park days to get extended hours (we're staying offsite).

Tks!

1. Much less crowded or

2. not really?

3. Wondering if we should switch our park days to get extended hours (we're staying offsite).

Tks!

1. Nope.
2. Yup.
3. The very reason they are starting an hour earlier is because of the expected very large crowds.

In general, expect that the earlier the hour the fewer guests will arrive in time for those early hours.
But, due to the overall much larger crowds at WDW during the holiday season,
expect a lot of guests even at 8AM.

The vast majority of the "10:30 and after" Guests are still going to came at 10:30 or after with either an 8:00 or 9:00 open,so the 8:00 open basically just extends the "Sweet Spot" from 9:00-10:30 to 8:00-10:30.:)

We had 8am openings several times during our trip last week.

We found the first 2 hours to be significantly lighter crowds than on the 9am openings. By 11am on a 9 am opening the park was getting crowded and the advantage of shorter lines going away. The same thing happened at an 8am opening, but that gives you 3 hours of advantage rather than 2.

We felt like an 8am opening was nearly as good as the morning emh.

I'd definitely take advantage of it!
