85-Minute Member Services Wait on 1/2/18

Last night, after 7:00pm, I could not get through to Member Services because the line was busy. I called multiple times over the course of the hour and finally got through after 8:00pm. The wait was 85 minutes and my call was answered after 9:30pm.

I had not experienced a call like this since the call center opened for general reservations at PVB. Limited day after New Year's staff, Moonlight Magic bookings, December walkers, some combination?

I had issues making ADRs for July trip yesterday. WDW site crazy glitchy, kept crashing for hours mid am.

Dropped call twice when on hold with Disney dining before I got thru to book HoopDeDoo (was unable online to finalize for some reason).

CM told me there were known technical issues yesterday. Ok, thought I had everything resolved.

Went back one final time after hanging up and saw that under MDE the restuarants were correct, but dates/times were wrong.o_O Other than the HDD, the majority showed up in January, a few scattered thru later months. Oddly, times I didn't even have a booking

Called back, it was a stated long wait. Decided to try MS, shortly before noon. Was prepared for long wait but got right thru!

Determined while set up incorrectly on my MDE, if I click the 'view details' button, it takes me to the correct reservation. :confused3

After being put on hold to speak to IT, was told department was 'too busy' to speak to me as they were working on the general issue. Was told to expect it should be resolved in a few days.:scratchin DVC CM suggested i take screen shots of my dining JIK.
 
Yep, I was going to say the same thing as PP--pretty sure it was completely related to the ticket and AP promotions ending today. I called MS multiple times yesterday, initially getting, first, an "all circuits are busy--please try again later" message, and then just a busy signal. After repeated attempts, got through, but then on hold for about 35 mins (which now seems short! :))
 

I would say defenitely the ticket promotion. Last year we went to guest services in Disney Springs the last day of the 13 month annual pass offer and waited 2 hours!! So I’m not surprised at all that the phone lines were crazy too.
 
And people may be calling because some dining reservations (like fireworks dessert parties) are still not open for booking in June. So people may be calling and asking about website and dining issues.
 
We had a 40 minute phone wait on the early evening of 1/4.

This time of the year is always busy - it will probably stay that way until after people have finished booking for their December and marathon weekend vacations. The ticket promotion ending & Moonlight Magic bookings just added to the usual long wait times in January.
