8078 vs 8522 Category 3

Between rooms 8078 (aft) and 8522 (fore), which would you pick and why? Are they 100% the same?

We're looking at a Cat 3 for a cruise coming up and just want opinions..

They are exactly the same, except the layout will be reversed, since they are on opposite sides of the ship. In other words, the bedroom will be to the left in 8522 and it will be to the right in 8078.
8522 is an adjoining room, which might make it possible to hear your neighbors, and you will lose a touch of wall space with the door.
I have always preferred the aft. The elevators aren't as crowded, which is perfect for getting to the dining rooms, it seems to be more quiet in the aft, and 8078 is much closer to the free drink station.
There may be a little more noise from the foot traffic above (Mickey's Pool) during the day, but at night it will be quiet...in 8078.

The only advice I would give is to pick the one that has the most distance from an elevator area. Those areas tend to get a little noisy at night sometimes. We had 8080 with the adjoining room once and it was great except for the elevator noise at times (not real bad, but if I had a choice next time I would pick one not as close).

We're skipping it. It was an extra $2400 for us to upgrade into the Cat3 so I"ll take my chances and see what is left over at port.

WOW....that IS a big jump in price!!

Right now we're in a Cat 7/7620 (which is really the Cat 5 secret verandah room) and have paid $1832. Yep, it was $1200 A PERSON more to get into the cat 3. No thanks.
