Hi everyone I just booked two rooms for my sister and I. Has anyone stayed in 8054 or
8554? I'm hoping I picked good ones. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Linda

We stayed in 8550 and honestly we didn't care for the location much! I realize we are in the minority here but we didn't care for hearing the chairs from the pool above us scraping around, we didn't like the fact we could hear kids running above our heads at anytime, we didn't like the fact that the sailaway parties at night were so loud that our kids could hear them and couldn't go to sleep so we had to crank up the sound machine just to drown it out. It was nice to only be down 1 level from the pools but the main elevators were always busy, it was hard to get one at "peak" times during the day so we ended up doing a LOT of stair climbing. We also stayed in 8504/8506 and while I hated the pitch and roll of the front it was nice for elevator catching.

Just my .02 but I don't think I'd ever stay midship on deck 8 again. It seemed very noisy and annoying to our family.

hi:wave2:

we are staying in room 8046 on the wonder halloween cruise .Its only a few staterooms down from 8054, and if you want i can let you know about that area when we get back from vacation on the 13th.

We were in 8552 and absolutely loved it! Our kids were a bit older so we honestly weren't going to bed until most of the deck activity was over for the night (usually around 11:00) and quite honestly it never seemed that loud to us inside the room. Since it was our first cruise we were really glad to be midship since we we're sure how we'd react to the "motion of the ocean". Yes, the midship elevators were a bit crowded but we took the steps ALOT - figured it was one way to burn off all those calories we consumed! On our next cruise we are in 8586 which is aft - hoping we like it as well.

We were in 8052 and 8558 and we loved the location each year. We also have teenagers so we all were coming back in later in the evening so noise was not a problem for us. We would definetly stay in any of the rooms you mentioned.

We were in 8054 and really enjoyed the location. The only time we heard the deck noise was out on the verandah. Inside the stateroom we didn't notice anything at all. And we did enjoy being only one deck below the action. And since it was only one flight up the elevators weren't a problem for getting up to deck nine. And as for getting to your room from other floors, we always made our way aft or forward to try and catch elevators anyway as the midship ones are always the busiest. Just a tip. I'm hopeful you will enjoy your stateroom just fine!

Are you aware that these rooms are on opposite sides of the ship? Not sure if that was intentional, just thought I'd point that out.
