Anyone thinking of taking a quick trip to Disney to get away from the cold might want to do it this coming week.

Temperatures are expected to be in the high 70s - low 80s with most days 20% chance of rain or less...

Of course, anything may we better than here. 6 inches of snow in the last 12 hours.

We usually go late Jan. but last year we froze. I said never again! We are now going the 2nd week of March. My husband only likes to go when it is slow. I haven't had the heart to tell him that it will be much busier. :crowded: This extra month of waiting is gonna kill me!

I hope it holds out and last through our trip!!!! 9 days and counting!!!!!

I am so happy your guys are going to have such great weather! Have a great time!

I'm heading down tomorrow morning.

Do you think if the forecast is for the high 70's I should wear shorts or will it get too cold once the sun goes down?

Thoughts?

I am going the 21-28th.

We can have the same thing happen to us as those who weather shows 60's and cold rain but they actually get great weather.

I hope it doesnt happen....but, anything more than 3 days out is a crap shhot at best.

We went last January & had weather in upper 70s & low 80s during the day, but once the sun went down it cooled off. We ended up wearing shorts during the day (definitely hot enough) & then in the evening I brought long pants for myself & the kids, as well as a light jacket. DH only wore shorts, but I think he did wear his windbreaker at night.

We use a stroller so we had storage room for the backpack with clothes. Otherwise, I would rent a locker. Well worth the few $$ to keep comfortable & not travel back to the resort to change.

Hope that helps. Have fun.

Good idea... we'll have my 6 year old, so we'll get a stroller and have a place to put a backpack.

Last year they forcast rain for every day. It rained twice in 2 weeks, and the temps were warm enough to swim 6 or 7 days.

Leaving Friday, and I hope for great weather, but will be happy to be there come rain or shine!

Woohooo I can't wait!! Weather went from rain to the 80's! I can't wait to get there on Friday morning!! :cool1:

We leave this Sat and I'm so excited to have warm weather!!! :sunny:

I've been watching the weather report and it sounds wonderful, I will be down there Jan 21-28th. We have gone down in January for five years (this is our 5th time) as we originally were married at Disney on Jan 26th, 2002, so its a nice way of celebrating our anniversary.

Last year it was the coldest we have ever experienced, but its just luck of the draw I guess.

This is great news for all of you going. Now remember - leave some of the sunshine down there for us February visitors :cool2: :goodvibes

Argh! Its going to be crowded enough with the EE preview for passholders and DVC members....now you're encouraging last minute visitors!!???

LOL, just kidding....we'll be there the 22nd to 29th...looking forward to the good weather (hopefullly). We'd like to get to the pool a time or two!
