In a way it seems like we've been married forever but in other ways it seems like it was yesterday. Today is our 8 year anniversary. I got goose down pillows and 400 count sheets from dh.... while we were in Ireland, most of the hotel rooms had goose down pillows and we fell in love. I got him a frame with 2 pictures from Ireland of us in it to take to hang up in his office at work and a snorkel set for our trip to our family beachhouse in July.
Our wedding was memorable because 20 minutes before the ceremony was to start, MIL was not feeling well and the paramedics had to be called. They come running into the church where guests are still coming in and treat MIL and end up putting her on a gurney and rolling her out of the church to take her to the hospital. All my husbands family except his dad, who was in the wedding, went to the hospital with MIL and they all missed the wedding and reception. At the reception, there was a whole empty table where his family would have been.
When the ceremony was over, we had an hour until we needed to be to the reception at a local hotel. So we had the limo driver take us to the hospital and we left the rest of the wedding party in the limo while DH and I in my gown and his tux go running through the ER to find his mom. We got lots of oohs and ahhs and congrats... lol
Oh and we have it ALL on video, our idiot videographer kept the whole thing in so the first 20 minutes of our video is watching the paradmedics come and work on MIL and wheel her out. She turned out to have a severe bug of some sort. She was released and pulled up to the hotel right when dh and I were getting into the limo to leave for the airport for our honeymoon. Yes, very memorable.
