8 pm Wishes in late December?

Does anyone have a guess at the rationale for Disney moving Wishes to 8 pm in late December? Seems so strange to me that if they are anticipating later hours that they would move the fireworks to earlier vs. later (ie. 10 pm like it is in early December). I understand it would all be speculation, but I am trying to plan dining and the latest move of Wishes in late December from 9 pm (which is what all the historical calendars indicate) to 8 pm seriously messed with my dining plans on MK nights. Just wondering if they would possibly add a 2nd showing of Wishes a couple of hours later. I know at Disneyland sometimes during peak crowd days they sometimes did 2 firework shows when crowds were really heavy.

I am trying to figure out how much effort I should put into trying to rearrange my dining plans or if I should just give up and wait until they release the final calendar for December in November. It is making me crazy!!

Which is the travel agent calendar and comes directly from Disney?

I am totally new to this so am just trying desperately to not have my ADRs positioned such that we can't get a decent spot for fireworks, or worse are inside a restaurant nowhere near to see them. This will likely be our only trip as DH is not a fan so I am trying to time things the best that I can to maximize my kids experience. Thanks for responding!!

Oh..and one other reason I am not trusting the posted calendar is that everyone says MK will open at 8 am every day and have EMH at 7 am starting on 12/20 and http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours/dec15.cfm does not reflect this. I have ADR for 7 am on 12/21 so expect this to be the case. Just trying to sleuth this all out as best I can. But I hope you are right about Wishes timing. I built my schedule around the calendar you cited!

The change in morning hours, to 7 am EMH will most likely happen closer to December.

I am also curious about the fireworks time change. I have the dessert party booked on 12/26 got an e-mail yesterday or day before that the party time has changed from 8 to 7 because fireworks changed from 9 to 8. It doesn't make sense for them to have it so early on a crowd level 10 day.

Wishes virtually never has a second performance in the same evening.

Dual fireworks shows are limited to special holiday presentations like New Years Eve.

And they pushed closing from 11 until midnight. And moved some of the AK closings from 8 to 7. Trying to keep us on our toes!!
