8 passenger minivan at National - what are the chances?

I've rented a minivan for the week of Oct 4-11. What are the chances of me being able to get a Toyota Sienna or SUV that is 8 passenger? I signed up for the Emerald club. There are 8 of us, so it's essential I get something for 8. We are going to get a taxi or shuttle for the luggage and a couple of us, but I'm trying to avoid renting an extra car. If I reserve a car for in the event that I can't get the 8 passenger van, how long do I have to cancel?

You will need to book the Sienna as an Emerald Reserve reservation in order to get one. The chances of finding a Sienna on the Emerald Aisle are slim and none. You may have to call National to make the reservation. If that fails, try Alamo. Same company, but, different business plans. Also, the mini van is a different class than the 8 pax. mini van. They generally cost more.

We picked up a minivan last month through National and are Emerald Club members, so we had Emerald Reserve service. There were absolutely NO Sienna's in the minivan aisle when we got there, only 3 Dodge Caravan's and 1 Chrysler Town and Country. Now, I didn't look at the large SUV's, but there were several in the lot. I also have never seen the 8 passengers(vans or SUV's) available for booking at MCO, so they may not carry them at that location, but I could be wrong there. IF they do, make sure you have the confirm with you and reserve that particular vehicle
