8 nights made a Poly lover out of me!!

Got back last week from 8 wonderful nights at the Poly. Ground floor room in Tokelau (#1942) facing the quiet pool.

Had excellent weather (just a few drops of rain -- literally). 90 degree days. crowds weren't bad. loved Star Wars weekend.

Absolutely loved the Poly. It is now my favorite. Probably won't stay anywhere else again. From the lush foilage and flowers to the friendly Alohas from CM's. Great towel animals from housekeeping. The total Poly experience makes you forget where you are --- totally relaxing and who can forget the great Pina Coladas.

Just wondering where else you've stayed besides poly. Since you said its now your new fav. Have you been to the WL? Is it better than there? What's your opinion?? Thinking of booking there instead of the WL. Thanks!

I agree... poly is the best........we just got back a week ago.... i loved it..... everything about it.... we have stayed at WL... in my opinion the WL is not even close to the poly...... we also stayed at AKL.. i liked that alot better than WL but not compared to the poly... i feel like Julia... everything about the poly.... i do not think I could stay anywhere else...amy

Glad to hear that there are so many who love the Poly. I just upgraded us to the Poly from CBR this morning. I am excited about the monorail, and the rooms, but have to admit that in some of the pictures the outside of the buildings looks so drab. I'm sure that in real life, I won't even notice the buildings due to the greenery. WooHoo!!!! I'm staying at the Poly! BTW, this is going to be a surprise for DH...he still thinks we're staying at the CBR. I hope I can keep a secret!

We just returned also from 4 nights at Cont. tower and 4 nights at Poly (Samoa). I loved both of those resorts. The pool at the Poly cannot be beat. That alone is enough to bring me back there. As soon as you sit in your lounge chair, you can hear the Pina Colada calling you from the bar. And the grounds are so lush!!

However, the rooms are distinctly different. I'm not sure which room is bigger, but there is more in the CR room. The table is longer (all 4 of us fit at it to eat), there is a long dresser with space on top for storage (all my snacks and ice bucket) - Poly had a small round table (only fits two) and an armoire.

I really disliked the Poly bathroom. It is extremely dark. Even though the shower had a light in it, the tile is hunter green. I had to keep the shower curtain open part way when I needed to shave my legs. Also, there is one big bathroom at Poly. At the CR and GF the sink area is separate from the toilet/tub area. My family could be using the toilet and I could be doing my hair. We also lucked out and had two sinks at the Cont. But then again, we received a complimentary tower upgrade so everything looked better in there!!!

Any way you slice it, for our family it's a monorail resort or bust!!
