8 Nights at BC-CL, Graduation Trip-Lots of Pics-Update 3/10-THE END

Thanks so much for reading along. My boys are lucky we ride all the thrill rides with them. Do you ride the thrill rides?? I just love the fact that they love coming with us & we have such a great time. Good quality family time.:goodvibes

Im TRYING to get my boys (and my DH!!) on the thrill rides!! We've been to WDW 3xs, and the first trip the biggest ride I could drag them on was Splash Mtn..and after that my DH said.."no more"!!

for trip #2, the 2nd to last ride of the trip was Thunder Mtn, and eveyone LOVED IT - so it ended up being the last 2 rides of the trip..

this last trip, I was able to drag the boys also onto Space Mtn and they LOVED IT!!! DH on the other hand was a "bag holder".....:rotfl:

for next summer Im trying to talk everyone into Tower of Terror....but we'll see how successful I am with that!!

Until TOT I did most thrill attractions once with my kids - then no more. Stupidly I went on TOT when it was brand new - oh.my.gosh. Was sick for three days! A
Ways happy to be the bag holder now. ::yes::

Just noticed that you are "in the middle of NC" - me too!

Doreen, my kids had enough of Disney by the time they were 11 & 13! Yep, told me they we "Mickey'd out" - we went twice a year from the time they were 7 and 8 - but they kept going until 16 and 17 because we started going to Disneyland instead. Sophia and I are going for a long weekend late May - she is only 4 1/2 so it will be an easy going MK and EPCOT only few days. I look forward to going as a family again when Sophia is older...it will be nice to experience Disney with Mia as a mom. Of course, Toby will be watching from heaven, but with us in spirit for sure. :littleangel:

I wonder how close you two live to each other!! Yeah if we went that often my boys probably would be sick of it also. I am not sure when they will be going with us again as Ryan just started a new job at our local shipyard & with Cody in College now it would have to be sometime towards the end of May. I cannot go any later than that during the summer because it is way too hot.

I am sure Toby is with you in spirit.

:) Thank you so much for coming out of "lurkdom" and post. Okay Okay you convinced me to keep writing the TR's. It is fun to relive it all over again. And I get so much enjoyment from other TR's so if I can bring enjoyment to some Disney fans then I will. I didn't mean to make you feel guilty.;)

Of course it will be a while until I write another one as we will not be going until Oct. but I will send a PM to the ones that posted on this TR.

Thanks again for reading (and posting).:goodvibes

I have enjoyed reading this trip report alot and no worries on making me feel guilty :rotfl: Where are you planning to stay in october? It will be lovely to see all the autumn/halloween decorations:)

Hope all went well with your infusion :goodvibes
Take care of yourself!

Oh my...that pizza looks absolutely heavenly. I so wish I could risk eating pizza out and not have to worry about my stomach.

That was very nice of the server to bring you an extra pizza the way you ordered it and not charged you.

Oh, go in May! ;) I am taking Sophia for 4 ngts in May - looking at arriving the 18th or 19th, leaving the 23. Thinking we will fly down, then drive home with DD and sil - they will be checking the Gulf Coast for the eventual move (before Sophia begins 1st grade, hopefully).

Tried to rent points today, but BWV not available - I didn't expect it to be but it was worth checking. Only AKV Savannah view (way to many points) or SSR, which is too isolated. Now where to stay on a tight budget..thinking either POP or maybe FQ - I don't swim so we need a decent kiddie pool and water jets.:thumbsup2

We are staying at the Beach Club. Made the mistake of staying there in 2010 & now we don't want to stay anywhere else.;). Unfortunately our bank account will not allow us to always stay there but for Food & Wine it will be great!!

Yes it was very nice of them & it was good!! Aw sorry that pizza bothers your stomach.:sad2:

Oh how I wish we could go in May. With Cody in college the funds just are not there. I bet you will have a great time!! We absolutely love FQ!! That is our favorite moderate. Although Pop has the water jets so that may be a better option for you.

Ok I somehow missed this post. :confused3

Wow you have done a great job at getting them on those thrill rides!:thumbsup2 (well except for your DH).:)

It took Cody & I 3 years before trying ToT & when I finally did it I wish I had tried it earlier! We went to Universal a few years ago & we did the Hulk & all those coasters. I was a nervous wreck before trying them but LOVED the Hulk. It is so much fun!!:thumbsup2

Let's get another update in while I am home at lunch. I am lucky to work about 3 miles away from home so I come home every day. Right now the snow is swirling around but no accumulation yet.:thumbsup2 I guess it is supposed to get bad later. So we left off that we were waiting for Illuminations & while my guys were holding our viewing spot I walked around a bit & took pictures..surprising I know.;)

Some cute items available for the right price

Well back to work I go.....

I LOVE this. I almost bought it last year but our hands were full of packages already :lmao::lmao::lmao: I am definitely picking one up on one of our trips this year.

I'm not a big fan of Illuminations (my least favorite of all of the night time shows), but you got some REALLY fabulous pictures. I've never seen such pictures of the globe. Awesome job. :thumbsup2

WOW just amazing! Where did you stand to view illuminations? Outstanding pictures :)

We stood by Germany. We usually stand near Italy but it was blocked off that night.

:rotfl: I know what you mean. I usually by way to much!! I have a spinner like that that the girls in my office got me but it is red & has a hummingbird in the middle.:)

OMG Illuminations in just my absolute favorite!! The music, fireworks, globe, then all the countries lit up after-I just love it. Everybody has their favorites. I never really paid much attention to the music until Ryan (the musician in the family) pointed it out to me. Now I can just hear it in my head. I also have the CD.;)

All caught up! I enjoyed reading back through all of your recent updates. Brings back memories since we were there at the same time! :goodvibes

I hate the end of a trip... :headache: I'm glad you have plans for October!

Ahhhh, what a PERFECT night! I love your sunset pictures - beautiful!

Thanks Brook! A night walking around WS & watching the sunset & Illuminations is the perfect night. Oh & good food also!!:goodvibes

Hi Amy. I know I love reliving the trip. I will be looking forward to your April TR.::yes::

I booked our airfare for Oct. on Thurs. night & was so surprised to find out we had more than enough Southwest points to cover all the airfare!!:cool1:

That's fantastic Doreen! Airfare can be so expensive! I still don't know for sure if/when I'm going in October. My friend who just graduated nursing school is still trying to find a full time job. She has several leads and three more interviews next week, but she's finding that most want to start her per diem & she needs the benefits.

Just in case... I booked a return flight on Sunday 10/20 using points. It's totally refundable so I figured I'd book before prices go up. We've been discussing the weekends of 10/5 or 10/19 but since she'll be down there with her family in August, I figured later in October would be better. We'll see... Crossing my fingers it works out!

As far as a TR... I'm on the fence. I'm having a hard time keeping up with the DIS lately. I've been writing our group trip report from October but that was only five days. We'll see... I'll probably end up doing one, but I'll have to try to crank it out before I get sidetracked! For now I don't have a PTR going, but if I decide to do a TR, I'll start it before we go with the details of the trip.

I hope you get to go in Oct.

If you do a TR I will be there! I know it is tough to keep up. During the holidays I just took a break from the Dis. so I got really behind!

Love the trip report and pictures of all your snow!
We don't get any snow down here.

:)Glad I could supply the snow photo's. Hopefully we are DONE with the snow for this year! This weekend had been beautiful here. Low 50's which for us lately is really good.;)

Thanks for reading.:goodvibes
