I'm glad they are all okay.

We were there last Sept. (2nd time) and got hit by one of the worst storms we've ever experienced while in FL. And we go in Sept. a lot.
I was picking up our free family photo and the skies just opened up. They wouldn't let us leave the area and made us get under shelter. Scary thing for me was my DM and DD11 were just on the other side of the wall at the Laguna Grill and I couldn't get there. We were kept there for about 30-45 mins. My DM said at first they told them to get under shelter, then they told them to all go into either the restrooms or the restaurant. She opted for the restaurant since she knew how cold the restrooms are.
I found them in the restaurant, jammed packed, with a hundred, or more, guests. I got a little teary when I saw them-not that I was worried that they would get hurt, but because I knew my DD11 would be worried about me (and she was) and just the sense of relief I felt.
There were several lightening strikes that we so close you could hear the zzzzt zzzt sound (electricity)just before the strike.
After about 30 mins after being let loose the park was pretty empty, they reopened the water areas (until more rain came back) and we have the park mostly to ourselves.
Again, so glad noone was seriously injuried.

I guess you really should listen to the employees when they tell you to stay under cover.
