We were on the dining plan and saved a ton of money. More details to follow....

We started our vacation at Hollywood Studios and the boys wanted to try Pizza planet. We got four meals four the six of us to split. 3 of the Pepperoni pizza meals and 1 cheese pizza all with the salad. Four dessert I got 2 bags of chips and 2 chocolate chip cookies. I was prepared to not have the best because of the new crust but the pizzas were ok. Not delicious but edible. Four meals was plenty of food for all of us.

For dinner we had Chef Mickey's. Let me start by saying when we got there it was a scene from the Funniest Home Videos. It someone had been taping this family would win for sure. The first thing we see is this little girl, no older than 5, come running aroung the buffet. She runs stops, turns around and looks, and sees Minnie and keeps running around the buffet. The poor girl was scared to death. :rotfl: :rotfl: And Minnie kept following her around the buffet. It was hilarious. I love this place just for the ambience and the characters. We waited less than 5 minutes for our table. Our server was very nice and friendly. It was Saturday night and the server said it was rib night. My dh and ds11 were in heaven. The food was pretty good for a buffet and the came around quickly. We go to Chef Mickey's for the atmosphere and the characters so we were very pleased. The total for this meal was $144.79. Or 5 table service plus $24.47 tip.

thanks for the info------ never been to CM as each of my D kids and my DH get to pick their favourite and it's never been on our list......but maybe next time:confused3

bmderd2- i look forward to the rest of your review, we have ADRs for 6 out of the 8 places you ate TS. most curious about WC and 1900 park fare.

Today was Magic Kingdom Day. I had heard good reviews about Cosmic Rays so I defintely wanted to give it a try. We were all sharing lunch again today because the meals are very big. We got 2 combos with chicken/ribs with mashed potatoes, an 8 piece chicken nugget/fires meal and double cheeseburger/fries meal. For dessert we split a carrot cake a brownie, and 2 of the chocolate cakes. This was a ton of food. We still had a lot leftover. My boys loved the fixing bars for the burgers and the mashed potatoes were very good as well.

For dinner we returned to Liberty Tree Tavern character meal. We have had this meal before and it was the same as last time. The boys loved the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. We got seconds of almost everything. I did not like the sauce on the ham and our server brought us more without the sauce. The desert was the apple cobbler with icem cream. The boys, and my dh, wanted more of just the ice cream and the server brought that for us. Overall this was a good meal. The boys always enjoy the characters and they like being able to eat as much as they want. The total for 3 adults, 2 children, and an infant was $139.47 or 5 table sevice credits plus $23.57 tip.

Today was an Epcot day. I realy enjoy eating at Sunshine Seasons in the Land. Dh is not a fan of this place at all. He says it is all girly food. But I got to pick lunch one day. I got the Turkey Muffeletta Cibatta like sandwich. I realy like this sandwich and I enjoyed it but it does not come with anything as a side on the dining plan. You would think it would come with chips or some pasta salad (I asked also) but it did not come with anything. My dh and oldest ds got the 2 Entree and 2 sides chinese type food. I think it came with noodles and rice and they could get beef and sweet and sour chicken. DS did not like it at all and my dh said it was alright (he will pretty much eat anything rather than waste it). My youngest 3 ds's split 2 kids meals with the mini subs. They came with ham, salami, and cheese. It also came with carrots and applesauce. They ate them and said it was okay. For dessert we split 2 butterfinger cheesecakes and a strawberry shortcake. These were the best parts of the meal. They were both very good. Next trip to Epcot we will probably not here because I am the only one who likes it.

Dinner tonight was at Coral Reef. We were very excited for this meal. Last time we went in 2005 it was 2 credits and now it was just 1. The younger kids were able to order an apetizer and I talked them into ordering the lobster soup, so I could try it. Well they loved it and I did not get to eat much of it. Dh, Ds 11, and I all ordered the New York Strip. It was good but I have had the same or better steak at Outback. They younger two ordered the kids pizza, they asked for the diced chicken on the pizza but the waitress said she didn't hear them say that, I did not want them to have to wait to fix it so they just ate it and shared with ds1. They said it was good. For desert I had the Fruit Sorbet it was very tart but good. Dh and DS 11 had the Chocolate Wave. It was very good but those cherries had alot of alcohol in them. I wouldn't let ds11 eat them. We were also able to get the Freezes as our drink. I got the Coconut, and the boys got a sour apple, and two straberry ones. Dh just had a coke because he wanted refills. Overall the meal was okay. I do think the waitress was not as friendly as she could have been. I think becuase she knew her tip was included she did not go out of her way. She was okay but I will tip up for great service, and this was not great service just ok. It cost $167.39 or 5 table sevice credits plus $28.29 tip.

I really enjoy Sunshine Seasons also. The only thing I've ever gotten there that I didn't enjoy was the Asian food.

Today was our Animal Kingdom Day. When we go to Animal Kingdom I love Flame Tree. But I knew we were going to have BBQ for dinner tonight so I did not want to have that for lunch as well. So I thought we would give the Yak and Yeti counter service a try. I was pleased to see that my ds9 and ds7 could get cheeseburgers and fries as a kids meal and my dh got the chicken and rice. My ds11 and I used two snack credits and got a large order of fried rice and egg rolls. Let me tell you these egg rolls were the best I have ever had. We even went back and got two more for another snack credit(you get 2 for 1 snack credit). The boys said their hamburgers and fries were good and ate every bit of them. Dh said this asian food was way better than what he had in the Land yesterday. We also got a frozen lemonade for dh dessert and cookies for the kids desserts. So for lunch we used 3 counter service credits and 3 snack credits. We will definetly return here for those egg rolls!

Dinner tonight was at Whispering Canyon. This was one of the best meals all week. We all really enjoyed it. Our waitress was great. We all got the skillet and refillable milkshakes. The waitress was great with the boys making them work clearing the tables and throwing the straws. The boys saw what was going on with the ketchup and they wanted to do it. So when our dinner came out the waitress hollered "we need ketchup". The boys loved carrying it around them room when someone else asked for it. The food was great and we all liked being able to get the refills on the shakes. We will defintely return here it was a lot of fun. I lost the recipit for tonight but I know we used 5 table service credits and I tipped her a little above the 18%.

Thanks for the great reviews, you are eating at some of the same places we will be next month so these reveiws are very helpful. I'm especially happy to see you liked WCC as we have that booked and i have read so many mixed reviews that I was actually thinking of changing it.

I can't wait to read the rest of them!

I cannot stress this enough. We ALWAYS (ok except for the pulled pork at DHS which DD refuses to share!!!) share our CS meals. This stretches them out and 1/2 a CS is usually the perfect amount of food. Leaves room for yummy snacks too!!!

Today was Magic Kingdom Day again. My plan was to try something different for lunch today maybe downtown Disney. But dh wanted to go back to Cosmic Rays and try the big hamburgers with the fixins bar. We got 4 bacon double cheeseburger meals with fries. Ds asked if he could have chili fries and they gave him a side of chili included in the dining plan. Dh and Ds11 both ate a complete meal. Ds7 and Ds9 split a meal (I bought an extra bun and seperated the burgers). I gave the baby the extra burger off my double cheeseburger. Four desert we split four chocolate cakes. This was plenty of food and everyone was satisfied. Dh loved the fixins bar with the mushrooms.

We left the Magic Kingdom by 1:00 and headed to Downtown Disney. I wanted to stop in Goofy's and let the kids make their own rice crispy treat. They loved this and piled them up with everything imaginable. This was only 1 snack credit a piece. I did the build your own carmel apple which I enjoyed later in the week.

Dinner tonight was at 1900 Park Fare. I was excited to see the Grand Floridan because we had never been there before. I was very pleased with this meal. I loved the strawberry soup that everyone talked about it was very good. The boys all enjoyed this meal and said it was good. Anastasia picked my ds9 to dance with her during the waltz it was very funny. The step-mother was great telling my boys how to pose for the picture. If you have a girl (or boy) I would highly recomend this meal. The characters spend a lot of time at the tables. We saw Cinderalla twice and took pictures both times (the first time the baby was asleep). This meal cost $119.95 plus a $21.59 tip. We used 5 table service credits.

Today we were going to try to go to Downtown Disney for lunch and then to Hollywood Studios in the afternoon and stay for Fantasmic. The day did not go as planned. Our van had a flat tire. Dh got the AAA car care people to come over and put air in it and then he drove it over to the car care center. He ended up having to buy another tire. Oh well better now then on the way home. While he was taking care of the van I took the boys to the POR food court for lunch. I got an 8 piece chicken nugget meal to share with the baby. Ds11 got a cheese pizza, ds9 got a fish basket, and ds7 got a kids meal cheeseburger. For dessert we got a brownie, cheesecake, and cookies to split. The food was fine regular food court food.

After dh returned with the van we headed to Hollywood Studios we had dinner reservations at Mama Melrose's Fantasmic Package. When we got to the park ds1 started running a fever and vomited. He has asthma so we always worry when he is sick. DH and ds11 voluntered to leave with the baby and take him to urgent care. I felt guilty staying at the park when my baby was sick. But dh said it was silly to ruin everyone's day to take ds9 and ds7 to ride some rides and to dinner, dh is such a good guy. So off we all went. The 3 of us went to Mama Melrose's. Both of the boys ordered the pasta with the cheese sauce. They said it was very good and ate every bite. I got the artisan bread appy and the chicken parmesan. It was barely edible. I did not care for it at all. I ate about half the chicken and ds ate the spaghetti. I have had better chicken parmesan at Olive Garden. I wish they had an adult entree with pasta and cheese sauce. The kids meals looked decent. For desert I had the chocolate truffle cake, that was pretty good and the boys had the kids sundae. The only reason I booked this ADR was for fantasmic and I don't think I would do it again. The total for 3 of us was $72.18 plus an $11.50 tip. We used 3 table service credits.
Dh and ds11 returned back to POR from Urgent Care. The baby was fine, maybe just overheated??? Who knows, he didn't have a fever the next day. Anyway they stayed at the hotel and ate at the food court. They got their favorite 2 bacon double cheeseburgers with fries and a brownie and magic cookie bar for dessert. They used 2 counter service credits.

Today was supposed to be our Epcot World Showcase day. We loved to eat around the workd, sharing a counter service or two from each country. We also had an ADR at LeCellier, which we loved last trip. However I was feeling guilty about dh and ds11 having to leave Hollywood Studios yesterday. We didn't get to see the stunt show or see the power rangers or lighting mcqueen. I asked everyone what they wanted to do today and they all wanted to go back to Hollywood Studios. So off we went. We needed an adr for tonight so we stopped by scifi. We were able to get an adr for 8:30, that was perfect. (we also stopped by 50's PrimeTime Cafe and they could have gotten us in also).

We enjoyed HS that morning and went back to POR for lunch and to rest, we didn't want to overdo it with the baby. For lunch Ds11 and Dh both got the buid your own pasta. Dh realy enjoyed it and thought it was great, ds said it was ok. For the rest of us I was able to get a large peperroni pizza using 2 counter service credits. It also came with two drinks and two deserts, which we got a cookie and a brownie. The pizza was okay. We had to wait for them to make it and they could have cooked it a little longer, but it was ok.

For dinner we returned to HS to SciFi. I love this place. Dh does not really like it but he agreed to go. I knew that we had 2 kids table service credits left and 5 adult table service credits. I figured it would be cheaper to pay for myself and the2 kids tonight and save the rest of the credits for our last day. Our server said that would be fine. Dh got the steak and he said it was good. Ds11 got the ribs and cleaned his plate so I guess they were good. I got the chicken bruschetta sandwich with fries and I enjoyed it. It was different and good. DS7 and ds9 both got the kids meals with hotdogs, fries and tomato soup. They were big hotdogs and they said they were good. The waitress let all three of the boys and dh get a shake as their drink and she put it on the dining plan, she did not charge us any extra. DS11 and Dh both got the ice cream sundae and ds9 and ds7 got the kids sundaes. We all enjoyed this meal. SciFi does not get the best reviews but I really like this place. It is a fun place to take the kids. My meal and the two kids meals came to $29.17 with tip the total was $38.00. Dh and Ds11 meal was 2 table service credits plus a $12.13 tip.
