We our planning our second trip for Jan 2018 and are probably doing 8 day tickets-no hoppers planned at this time. It's myself, DH, and DS(3). We like to take midday breaks and are planning on one trip to Disney Springs (which we missed first trip). How many days would you do in each park? I know it varies per family but I would like to know everyone's opinions! Thanks!

Well, we always park hop, but for us, it would depend on which FP+ we want to get. Make a list of your top 8 FP+ and go from there?

We do two half days at AK, four half days for EPCOT, five half days for MK, and right now one or two half days at HS. Did a half day at Disney Springs, but it's pretty much a generic outdoor mall, so we don't need to do that again anytime soon.

When my kids were that young and we went that many days we would use a ticket on the night we arrived and go to MK for fireworks and a ride or two. One day at HS, one at AK, three at Epcot and two at MK.

We usually do park hopper but this time around we are doing 8 day base as well. We only do half day at HS, 1 day at AK but sometimes wish we had another, and the rest split between Epcot and mk. Because we do park hopper we usually end up at Epcot at night and mk during the day but this time doing base will be more difficult to figure out. I'm curious to see what others might do. We have me, dh, dd (9) dd (13 months) so taking more mid day breaks for our little one.

When we took my DD at age 3, we went to MK 4 times, Epcot 2, and then 1 each for AK & HS. I'd definitely recommend park hopper with a young child b/c they might like/need the change of scenery. If you aren't going to do park hopper, then I would plan on at least 2 full days at MK and at least 1 full day at each of the others. Hope that helps!

We say HS and AK are 1 day only. EPCOT we do at least 2 and MK we would do 4. Since you are going in January, you won't have to worry about the heat so it should be much easier with a 3 year old.

I would do 3 at mk, 1 epcot (just not enough for the little one), 2 ak (good shows and who doesn't love animals), 2 hs (shows and some fun areas). Otherwise reduce one at hs and increase one at mk. At his age almost everything will be at ak or mk.

I like this strategy of ranking FP+ rides to help decide! Thanks!

Thanks everyone! We are still debating getting park hoppers vs. other add-ons. Like EMM, dessert party and memory maker. We will be there for 10 days total including arrival and departure days but would like one break day in the middle.

Magic Kingdom - 2 days
Epcot - 2 days... cuz food u know.
HS - 1 day or split days if you want to see Fantasmix and StarWars FW
AK - 1 day

It's important to do 1-2 rest days just chilling at the hotel resort or shopping at DS. It's fun to resort hop too cuz the shops all have different things!

I never go to the waterparks so I don't bother

With 8 days at parks w/o hoppers and a 3-year-old I would do:
MK - 3
Epcot - 2
DAK - 2
DHS - 1

But actually I might recommend reducing your park days to six, plus a rest day, plus a water park day. Then I would probably take a day off of DAK and a day off of either MK or Epcot.

I agree that you don't need hoppers.

We tour in half-day segments, so the question for us is "how many rope drops and how many evenings?"

My upcoming trip is 7 days (including arrival day, so 6 RDs & 7 evenings.) We are also doing a day at Universal; otherwise we would include a rest morning (probably with a MK evening.)

We usually spend a lot more evening time at MK, but it's closing so darned early that it's not possible :(

MK: 2 RD, 2 PM (plus potentially EMH after Uni)
EP: 1 RD, 2 PM
AK: 1 RD, 2 PM
DHS: 2 RD, 1 PM

So 1.5 days per park, plus 2-2.5 days at MK?

Without knowing anything else about what you all like, I'd say 3 MK / 2 EP & AK / 1 HS as many others have suggested. Definitely not more than 1 at HS without hoppers. MK is the best park for the child with AK second place. Not as much for a 3YO in Epcot but you're likely to have lots of stuff you'll want to see so hopefully he's patient!

This is such a hard question to answer, and I feel like you're going to get so many varying answers that it's going to be hard to decide!

I'm going in October and right now we're looking at:

2 MK
3 EP
2 HS
1 AK

My group is three adults, and we're also going during Food and Wine. So, we want to spend more time at Epcot over everywhere else.

I would personally do 3 at mk, 2 Epcot, 2 ak, and 1 hs.

This is what we usually do. But we get park hoppers, so it is usually like 1/2 day at HS early in the trip and 1/2 day later in the trip. And then same with AK, but with some extra AK time built in. Usually get our Epcot time in in the evenings since we like to have dinner there. And so on....

But we usually shoot for around 3 MK, 2 ak and Epcot, and 1 hs.
