We spent 8 days in the wonderful WDW. This was my 3rd trip within 1 year (my first time was in May of last year - so yes, I'm officially addicted and I blame the food!)

Our first trip was pretty tame and laid back. My second trip was with DS and during FREE DINING and the Food & Wine Festival (need I say more?) We upgraded from the Quick Service to the Deluxe and it was FABULOUS! I did a dining report on that trip (check it out in my siggy!)

This trip was our first staying "off property" at Bonnet Creek and we took along my MIL (it was her first airplane ride & her first time at Disney). I booked a LOT of ADR's even though we had a complete kitchen in our condo at Bonnet Creek :confused3 Seriously, who wants to cook while they're on vacay? I know I don't!!!

Even though we didn't have the luxury of Free Dining, I did purchase the Tables in Wonderland card which came in handy and actually ended up saving us around $200 which was very nice :)

Soooo join along and I will be sure to post as many pictures as I have!!!

To begin this report, I'm going to give you a rundown of our day so far. We left for the airport at 2:15am that morning (had to drive 3 hours to Chicago)... of course, I only slept about an hour that night. It was horrible! We arrived about 20 minutes early in Orlando at 11:00 am and got to MK at about 1pm. Our first ADR was at LTT at 2:45pm but I think we checked in a bit early around 2:30 or so and got seated within 2 minutes. DD3 was crabby so she didn't eat much. We split kid's meals between the 2 kids because they never eat much anyways.

When MIL first saw the menu she commented on how there wasn't much to choose from :confused3 I'm not sure what she was expecting... this certainly is not Perkins by any means.

MIL ordered the Freedom Pasta. She liked it however she did not like the waitresses outfits :confused3 Yes, this is my MIL.. it was an interesting trip.

I had my favorite, New England Pot Roast... Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite. I cannot get enough of this dish. I finished it all in record time. Yum!!!

Now a little bit about DH... he is a PICKY eater. And by PICKY I mean EXTREMELY picky! He will not eat any fruits, vegetables or meats. Yeah, figure that one out. He eats like a 3 year old pretty much :confused3 and has been that way since he was 3. I blame my MIL for this but there is no changing him. Trust me, I've tried. His diet consists solely of cheese pizzas, grilled cheese sandwiches, mac & cheese, mozzarella sticks, pb&j sandwiches, french fries, pancakes, scrambled eggs, cool ranch doritos, vanilla ice cream & rice krispie treats. So no, he is not a fan of Disney food by any means. He gets sick of the pizzas/mac & cheese real quick. Fortunately, LTT had a true Disney rarity on their menu, mozzarella sticks!!! DH was so happy!

He ordered the Tavern Fried Cheese and mac & cheese. He said it was very good.

The kids split the mac & cheese, sliced apples & ice cream dessert. DD3 did not eat much but DS5 loved it.

I love this place and I know I will return here in the future. The service is great and the food is even better. It's a true gem in MK IMO.

Thanks! I chose a few repeats from our last trip but we had quite a few new ones as well... I'm finally narrowing it down to my "must-do's" for future trips.

Looking forward to reading more! Have many of the same restaurants booked.

YAY! I'm so excited you're doing a DR. I was wondering when I saw that beautiful Freedom Pasta photo on another thread. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Great start.

Your DH's diet...wow! Sometimes I wish I could get away with that! Pizza and actually all things cheesy are my "thing."

I wish I could also do his diet and get away with it. The man is skinnier and stronger than any guy I know. I swear I should try his diet but not sure I could stick to it. I'm sure someday it will catch up to him but for right now he seems to be pretty healthy.

Can't wait to read more! I have chosen a couple of the same places for our Aug. trip and a few are new to us. I am also considering adding H&V for DS5, but have read a few negative reviews. Can't wait to see what you have to say about it.

We LOVE H&V :) We go for the breakfast before the park opens and they have so much to choose from. The characters are great there as well. This was our second time there and I would go again. I've never been for lunch or dinner though :confused3

Looking forward to reading more about your trip. We have many of the same restaurants booked for our trip in late October, and we're also staying offsite. :)

Subbing. The lunch at LTT looks amazing.

We are trying a bunch of the same restaurants and I can't wait to read about your experiences.

Now let me remind you that we had been up since 2am that morning... everyone had it by about 6:30. They were not too happy about having to find a seat on the cement and wait for Wishes at 10pm. So I had to break the awful news that we had reservations for the dessert party :scared1: Everyone seemed a bit happier after that :) We got in line around 8:30 and waited till about 8:50 to finally be let in.

When I originally booked the party, I'm pretty sure I was one of the first to get through. I think that was the reasoning for our table at the railing!!!

The desserts were AMAZING. I really, REALLY loved it all. Everything I had was delicious but my favorite were the mango shooters. YUM!!!

And DH's choice... yeah, he took a bite and that was it... he realized there were little specks of black in it (apparently that's REAL vanilla) but that just ruined it for him. He found rice krispie bars there but of course they had to have chocolate on top of them so that was a no go :rotfl2:

Great review! The dessert party looks INCREDIBLE! I gotta try that sometime!

BTW I have to say, when i first read the list of food your husband eats, I skimmed thru it quick...so at first i thought you were honestly talking about one of your kids. I honestly didnt read the part where you mentioned it was your husband. Is that really all he eats? he wont even eat ice cream with real vanilla specks in it? or rice crispy treats with choc on it? No fruit? no veggies? No meat at all? Wow, that must be tough to deal with on a daily basis. Esp on vacation! How do you cook dinner for the family? Im just curious. Good luck to you!

Keep the reviews coming, theyre great!
