Day - Saturday, April 9

We had a fantastic trip! The weather was mid-70's to low 80's the whole time, which was great for us. Rained for only 15 minutes the entire trip.

The crowds were great. The thing we kept saying was how many people didn't use fast pass. We get on Splash Mountain in a few minutes whil people were waiting in lines for and hour - never could figure out why.

Did a lot of firsts for us (we had been there 2 years ago when my daughter was 5 for 5 days). That was great. Saw all the night shows (Wishes, Illuminations, Fantasmic and Spectromagic). We could see Wishes from our balcony at the WL. Also saw parts of the EWP a few nights too.

The speed boats we rented from the WL marina were great. A lot of fun and a nice break for us.

The WL was great. We loved just about everything about it. We found the transportation to AK, MGM, and Epcot was great. The only issue we had was getting to the MK - I thought the transportation was bad. The boats didn't come frequently enough - getting there and definitely coming back in the afternoon. They must cut their afternoon boats back because it was bad. The bus was just as bad if not worse. That was too bad for us, because we spent most of the time at MK.

The decor is outstanding, and it felt very homey. Absolutely beautiful in the day and night. We had stayed in the towers at the Contemporary before - my wife like this much better. I have to say I'm still somewhat partial to the Contemporary Tower overlooking the MK - makes you feel like you're in the park 24x7. But - particularly price wise - I would definitely go back to the WL.

We used a discount code from mousesavers and saved a good amount.

Love the Myway tickets - we saved a lot from what I originally thought we would have to pay. If they didn't switch to this model, our ticets would have cost over $250 more.

The MK is our favorite - spent most of the time - there, but it's interesting how we've change what we did now that my daughter is 7. Last time there we spent most of the time in Fantasyland - this time it was Frontierland. Her tastes have all ready changed and she liked the thrill rides more. That was great, but I have to admit I was sort of disappointed. Fantasyland is such a fun place for kids, and it was kind of sad to see my daughter is all ready moving past that area somewhat.

Had great luck with the restaurants - except for ABC Commissary in MGM which we all thought was bad. The Princess breakfast in Epcot was great - daughter love meeting the princesses and I thought the food was great. We all love Chef Mickey's, and it was great as expected.

Got a number of souvenirs, pins, autographs, and pictures which were great (and better yet -were all in budget!).

I think we're set with Disney for a while - we've hit just about everything over our 2 trips. Next time we go, we'll probably investigate Seaworld and Universal as well (which sounds like heresy to our family, but may just happen!)

Great time - glad we did it. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

I was reading your post and noticed that you like the Princess breakfast @ Epcot. Could you get enough of those potatoes?????

We absolutely loved the potatoes in February. I tried to get out of the waitress what exactly they were and she wouldn't tell me.

Oh, our 5 yr old DD loved the princesses too. This breakfast was SOOO worth the time and money.

We are working on planning a trip to the World in October for our DD's 4th birthday .. she is really into Princesses .. would you recommend the Bkfst in Norway or Breakfast at the Castle .. both in terms of food and princess interaction.

Thanks,
Sarah

We were fortunate enough to make reservations for both. We decided afterwards to go with Princess breakfast. My daughter was interested in autographs from the princesses, and that breakfast had the most - plus it was the only way we were guaranteed to see them all.

I know how you feel when the kids seem to outgrow Fantasyland. There are still some things my kids enjoy there, but now Frontierland is their fave. Although every trip my kids seem to change what they like best, it is still always fun and, like you said, you get to keep trying different things. Your reports were great. Thanks for posting. Phyllis.

Thanks for taking the time to write a trip report.
