Day - Saturday, April 9

Today was the last day. We requested a late checkout at the WL, and decided to spend the last day by the pool. We did a lot of swimming and relaxing - the weather was perfect - ate lunch at Roaring Forks, and took some pictures. Got the last minute souvenirs, and before we new it the time was 4:15 and Prestige Limos was at the door.

The ride back to the airport was great, and we got right through security. Ate a little dinner and boarded our 6:20 flight back home. I had been able to get us all upgraded to first class, and first class was empty for both segments of our flight home (the rest of the plane was packed). Got home at 10:20 and crashed!

I really enjoyed reading your trip report. WE'll be staying at WL in June. I want late checkout due to a 7:30 flight. How long did they let you have the room? How far in advance did you request it? Did they charge you and if so how much?

Thanks. Also, while I'm asking questions about WL, do you remember what drinks they had available for the refillable mugs? Any types of juice?
Thanks,
Lesley

The late check out was at 1:00 - as opposed to the standard 11:00. You request it at check in, and there's no additional charge.

The drinks they had available for the refillable mugs were coffee and coke products (coke, diet coke, either a pink lemondae or a punch, root beer, and sprite I believe). No other juices besides the lemondae or punch were available with the mug.

Thanks for the answers. Was 1:00 the latest they would allow? If we could get 2:00 it would be PERFECT! Our flight isn't until 8:00 and with two little one's I would love it if they could get a nap in that day. That is great they don't charge for it.

What was your experience like with Roaring Forks? I think I remember reading you had a view of fireworks, did you request this on your ressie and was it there for you at check in or was it just chance? I requested this on our ressie and am hoping for the best. Can't wait!!!

They told me 1:00 - I didn't ask for a later time, so I'm not sure if it's available.

Roaring Forks was great - we always picked up breakfast and brought it back to the room. The food is counter service - burgers, hot dogs, however they also have pre-made salads which were good, sandwiches, and fruit. We ate there a lot.

We did request on our reservation to be on the Roaring Forks side with an MK view. We were in room 3028 - which allowed us to the fireworks, monorail, and the top of cinderella's castle (through the trees). It was a blocked view, but great for the fireworks.

Thanks for your quick reply. That is encouraging that they honored your ressie request. I may change it to add the "roaring forks side" how long was the walk to roaring forks from the room. Picking up breakfast and taking it back to eat in the room sounds great especially with our two small kids.
