Day - Satruday, April 2

We left on USAir for our 8 day trip at 10:00 in the morning. I was able to get us all upgraded to first class for the entire trip, so we started off great!

We arrived in Orlando about 2:15, and had Prestige Limos pick us up. They were great! Very nice, and professional. We got out luggage, and the driver (I can't remember his name) took us to a grocery store, where we picked up a case of bottled water, some juice, and some dry snacks. He then took us to the Wilderness Lodge! This was our first time there, and we were very excited. We arrived just before 4:00 with perfect weather.

There was a pretty big check-in line, but we were excited with our room. We had requested North Wing near the Roaring Forks with a Magic Kingdom view. We were in 3028 - right near the Roaring Forks restaurant elevator with a view blocked by a few trees of the back of the Contemporary and a good view of the fireworks. It was great!

We got unpacked and hit the pool - which is beautiful! After swimming, we headed out for our 7:10 PS at Chef Mickeys! We headed out a little late - 6:40 - to the boat dock. This was our first experience with the boats and taught us an important lesson - get there early! Even with the Contemporary so close, it took us 45 minutes to get there! We checked in about 7:25 - since we had a PS, they honored our reservation - we only had to wait 15 minutes. This gave us time to get an autograph book, pen, and kid's hat! Another new tip I learned - always make a PS!

The meal was great - we love Chef Mickeys - and we got all the autographs. We left about 8:40, and were all pretty tired. The boat ride back was quicker, and we got the kid down about 9:30.

This was the last night of Easter week vacation, so the number of people seemed pretty high. It cleared out fine the next morning.

Sunday is MK! Can't wait!

Sounds like you were off to a good start. We loved Chef Mickey and plan to go there again this May....can't wait to read the rest of your trip.
