So I've read on allearsnet.com and here that 8 and 9 day MYW tickets exist. But how in the heck do you get them? they're not offered on the disney website, can you order them from CRO? The 8 day premium is exactly what we need, but if we can't actually buy one, then I'll have to figure something else out. TIA!

This is exactly what I need to know. I was very disappointed to think that on our last day at Disney we were going to be stuck at the hotel. I hope someone out here can answer this. :genie:

From what I understand, they aren't available for pre purchase.

What do you mean by MYW tickets? Are these regular tickets into the park? If they are, paying for an 8 day ticket wouldn't be worth it. I believe the break-even point on day to day tickets and the annual pass is arround 6 or 7 days, with less restrictions. You should really go for an annual pass if you are going to be staying that long.

Magic Your Way are the new tickets (began in Jan). According to allearsnet.com, a 7 day with 5 options is $285.42, and an 8 day is $288.63
For 3 bucks, an extra day is certainly worth it! And with an AP costing $420.68, that's a BIG difference. I bought an AP for my Dec trip, so I'm all set for this one. The people I'm travelling with, don't have tickets yet, and we want the 8 days. Unfortunately, all I can find is that they exist, but not how to get them. I'll call CRO tomorrow.

Currently they are only available in advance by phone from Disney or in person at WDW. There is definitely an advance purchase price on them (all except the Base) when purchased prior to arrival.

Disney will eventually get them up on their web site but the key word is eventually. ;) These 8 & 9 day tickets will soon be available to the ticket wholesalers who wish to carry them as well.

Actually it depends on what you get on that 8 day MYW pass. Right now, the break even price is about 11 days. With the MYW passes, the more days you purchase, the less you are paying per days. MYW tickets debuted Jan 7 and are now the only tickets you can buy. You can choose a base ticket from 1 to 10 days, to that you may add the Magic Plus options for a flat $45 regardless of size of base ticket, you may also add the Park Hopper option for a flat $35 regardless of size of ticket and if you wish to have the tickets not expire 14 days from the 1st use, you may add the No Expiration option, which increases in amount according to how many days you have on the original ticket. In this way, people can make the tickets they want, unlike when the only way you could get a 6 or 7 day ticket, you had to take the plus options too/.

You can even add the eighth day to your advance purchased 7 day ticket (for $3.00) at Guest Relations outside any park, after you get there. No need to waste money on phone calls.

With hopping, the break even between regular tickets and the annual pass is 12 days.

Without hopping you can buy two 10 day Expiring regular tickets for less than the cost of one AP.

If you are considering non-expiration for an 8 day ticket, also adding a ninth and tenth day is strongly recommended.

MYW refers to the regular tickets sold in 2005 (as of 1/2/05).

thanks, seashoreCM! I had no idea you could add a day to an exisiting ticket, that makes things much easier! I still can't believe an extra day is only $3. That's insane!

I said the same thing of the 4.5, and 6 day passes. To add a day to any of these it is $1! We WERE getting the 5 day until we say that we could add 2 more days for $2! I even posted here to be sure I was right. That is, of course, buying the expiring tix. Good deal to me!

Not to contain your excitement but it is just the 10'th, 9'th, 8'th, 7'th and 6'th days which cost $3. to add to a pass that didn't already have them. The 5'th day costs $9., the 4'th day costs $15., the 3'rd day costs $55., the 2'nd day costs $61. (I saw some advance purchase prices where the price difference was just one dollar for an additional day above 5 or so but I am not sure you can add more days to those passes for just $1. per day at Guest Relations).

More than 6 days (13 days?) after first use, you cannot add days like that but instead have to take the purchase price pro-rated for the days remaining and apply that dollar value to a new pass.

No, a 4 day with hopping is $220, a 5 day is $221 a 6 day is $222 and the 7 day is $223. We are going from the 5 day to a 7 day and it will cost $2 more for each ticket.
