8 am opening, 8:15 ADR

They told her 7:30, they told her we needed time to get to BOG and for us to get to MK at 7:15.
. I might be able to work with that
If DD and I get in line for A&E by 7:45 maybe we could see them before our 8:15 res.

If the park doesn't open until 8, you won't be allowed to go to the rides or get in line for them.

It's my understanding the areas are roped off.

We just did this May 2nd. We had an 8:05 AM BOG and were let in early with the dining reservation people at 7:45. We weren't allowed to line up in the 7DMT ride queue, but we were allowed to wait near the ride. The cast member there said we had to follow her into the line and she led us in as the hordes were appearing. We were off the ride and made it to our 8:05 BOG. I don't know if our experience was typical or an outlier though. Also don't know if it would work for Anna/Elsa. But, that is an idea.

Do you recall when they actually allowed you to get in line? Was it before 8 with an 8am park opening?

If that works, then having an 8:05-8:15 time would be much preferable to an 8 am ADR. Of course that's assuming they let adrs that are after park opening in before 8. I've read several that said they didn't so seems to be a ymmv thing.

We will be there on a 2am close night also. Do you think the line for them will be much shorter after 10pm?

Keep in mind that the line closes a half hour before park closing time so don't wait too late. Last summer, we visited A&E just before 11:30 pm on a non-EMH night. The posted wait time was 90 minutes but the actual wait was less than 10.

. Yes but that is the same deal I was expecting. I just want to be up there before park opening crowds.

Well I can see with the following post how one *could* do it if everything lines up- it's an interesting idea for sure- even the 8am reservation might be able to do that- from what I read there's a 20 minute window for being late to an ADR, especially if it's SDMT you're wanting. I would think the princesses might be a bit more time consuming and from what I've read- you're not assured of being first in line with them while at SDMT you are virtually the first guests on the ride.

There was an 8 AM park opening, we were allowed to be the first party in the 7DMT line, but we were only allowed to enter the line when the rope drop group was almost there.
We arrived at the gates at 7:15 and lined up with the reservation people off to the far left and were let into the park right around 7:45-7:50 for our 8:05 BOG.
As we were walking past the cast member guarding the way to 7DMT, we asked if we could just wait there and ride first and she allowed us to wait there to be head of the line.

Probably a YMMV situation.

We probably only got to be in the dining reservation line because we arrived early. By 7:45 that line was full and it didn't look like they were accepting any more people in the line. SO, if one arrived at 7:45 for their 8:00 reservation they probably ended up entering with rope drop crowds. Additionally, the lady who checked us in at the gate was having a lot of issues. We may have just been allowed to line up because she didn't know what she was doing. For what it was worth, the earliest ADR that morning was 8 am and they did have a separate line despite the park opening at 8 am.

This happened to us last Dec. We were in the ADR line on the left side of the entrance at 7:30. We were about the 10th family in line. They didn't let us in until 7:53 and by then we were "walking with a purpose" to get onto Main Street to take some pictures in front of the castle before our 8am ADR at CP.

Edit: We were let in before the people who were rope dropping
