8 & 6 year old - MK game plan?

I have looked at the books but they seem to either be for older older kids or preschoolers.

If anyone has been to MK with 6 and 8 year (or around that) can you give me a suggestion for the route we should take. We are going Wednesday starting with breakfast 8am at the castle. Plan to see the daytime parade that day. We are going back on Friday - crystal palace at 8am and then leaving and coming back around 1pm and staying till late for wishes. Is this wise or do we stay early and leave in the afternoon and then come back.

My DS's are almost 7 and 5-1/2. Last time we went they were almost 6 & 4-1/2 but pretty mature. I know what you mean about this age group - it varies alot by the nature of your kids. My younger DS is a daredevil & wanted to do more than we let him. This time we're letting him do Space Mountain. Last time they both did BTMRR & loved it. Specific rides aside, I think splitting your visit to MK into 2 days with kids in this age group is a good idea. If you want a specific 2 day itinerary, try www.tourguidemike.com. It costs around $18 but it gives you an easy to follow itinerary for any park you plan to go to, including best time of day to visit an attraction & best days to go to each park.
I can tell you our plan for our 2/2005 trip - one afternoon at MK & stay for 7:00 Wishes then a couple days later spend the morning at MK up until the parade.

I just took my 8 and 6 yr old girls back in Dec. and we did the early morning and leave in the afternoon thing and came back in the evenings and closed the parks. They rode everything in all the parks except for Space Mountain. The 6 yr old is very tall for her age and the 8 yr old is a daredevil. The 6 yr old you could get to try something and she was quick to let you know if she didn't like it. They liked evey ride but the 6 yr old didn't much care for TOT or Splash Mountain(she doesn't like this one because she doesn't like water in her face). We also did not do rock n roller coaster. They did do better though with the half day plan. I hope this helps.
