8/5 Discussion Show is UP

The rant was so justified. The price keeps rising so fast that sooner or later less people will come and they (disney) will over more deals

darn Itunes. I was so excited. Now I have to wait for Pete's Rants, which I really love

It is not showing up on my Itunes.

It may be just because I got my touch yesterday and I am still kind of a noob at this. :P

Just downloaded it on iTunes

I even started playing it right away to make sure it is the right one, I now have 3 copies of last week's show that downloaded with it :confused3

Yup, updated in iTunes a little while ago finally...listening now.

You didn't need a Ph.D to figure out the 4/3 ticket options though...just someone sick enough to do all the work for you, like me... :)

That, and a very thick skin for dealing with the CMs who couldn't properly upgrade them without thinking that it was such a good deal you must be ripping Disney off...

Both of last weeks shows are showing up as uploaded on 8/5? I assume they got taken down and put back up and that nothing is new about them.

woo hoo! Thanks Pete and the gang for the gift certificate! It's probably the best thing I could've gotten cuz there are lots of things I wanna do.

And yes I like football(Go Packers!)

and I came out in 2004 while on the college program my first time

and yes it did triple my wage, and I died laughing :rotfl:

Congrats on the pick!

It's a heck of a show! Everything covered was very well said.

Another great show :)

Just finished listening to my 2nd Podcast. During the discussion of the 2010 dining plan price increase during busier times of the year, someone (John or Kevin) mentioned getting the Tables in Wonderland discount card. Unfortunately that probably won't help many families who get the dining plan because it is available only to Florida residents and annual passholders.

While I would've preferred no ticket price increase, I'm not going to rant over an additional $20 for an annual pass - especially since I'll get 15 months with my renewal in January instead of 12 months.

On the other hand - certain things offered by Disney, like the Adventures by Disney tours and some Disney Cruise Line itineraries (2010 Baltic cruises, in particular), are way overpriced. The DIS is sponsoring a 5-night/6-day ABD tour in Hollywood next April for only $2219/pp double occupancy - and that's a $400/pp savings! That's $4438 for a couple: $887.60/night for 5 nights or $739.67/day if you're counting it as 6 days! I don't know if the Podcast crew ranted about those prices, but they should've.

Boycott the DDP? Heck, I already did. I totally can't imagine paying for the DDP.

We are coming down in a week and every one of our meals is off property. HaHaHa.

Some of the Downtown Disney restaurants give a discount to annual passholders, as do Epcot restaurants for lunch M-F and ESPN Club at the Boardwalk. And some restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin (excluding Blue Zoo, Shula's, and maybe a few others) give a 10-20% discount to AAA members.

DVC members also get some discounts at various places as well (including Swan/Dolphin locations), but it is difficult to keep track of what is where and when. TIW covers almost all TS locations (none at S/D though).

I stopped purchasing the dining plan two years ago when they limited the child menu to food that, while marketed as healthy, looks and tastes horrible. I am adult and I can decide what my child should or should not eat. I love my child, as all parents do, and want them to eat well, but I also want them to enjoy their food just as I do. Nothing on that children's menu is palatable. Just my opinion. I was highly offended that Disney felt the need to dictate to me what my child should eat.

I will get behind this boycott 100%.
