It's tough being an early riser, when the others in your famiy are not. Anyhow, I woke up at 5:15 this morning, did not want to take the chance of being late for the Immigration check-in this morning. I am sitting here on the verandah writing my trip report notes, as DW and DD are still "snoring" away inside the cabin. As I sit here I can see St. Thomas in the distance, the lights of the island are glistening on the water.

Just arrived back from the Immigration check-in, we were there early, so we were back to our cabin by 7:20. I went down to the Internet Cafe for a few minutes, as DW and DD went back to lay down for a while. The six of us are scheduled to go to Sapphire Beach at 9:15 this morning, but it doesn't look like all of us are going to make it. My DD is sacked out and doesn't want to get up, my Dmom is worn out from the extreme heat and humidity, of walking around St. Maarten the day before. The remaining four of us head to our meeting location and are headed for the St. Thomas Beach Day excursion. We had a very nice day at Sapphire Beach, the water was crystal clear and warm. I couldn't believe that we were in the water for 1 and 1/2 hours, when the call for lunch was made. We were served a nice buffet meal along the beach area. We left Sapphire Beach around 1:15 and headed back to the ship. I saw three other DIS'ers and their families on Sapphire Beach today, they were Mindy (pickles61), Diane (allshookup), and AnnMarie (aa4mom).

Before dinner DW, DD, and I went to see "Pirates of the Caribbean" all three of us really enjoyed it, I would not recommend it for younger children, but we enjoyed it!!! After the movie we headed to Parrot Cay for dinner, tonight I had Prime Rib, it was so tender, I could get spoiled very easily to the meals they serve on the ship!!!

After dinner DW and I, along with my Dniece took a stroll, and came across Donna sitting at her desk. I informed her that I had not received the call about the prices for the August 2004 cruise. She looked at her papers and said she had called because there was a check mark next to our name. Donna also said, it was possible she called the wrong room, or if my DD was in the cabin, she probably took the message and forgot to tell us, that happens at home all the time!!! We put our deposit down for next year's cruise going to St. Thomas, San Juan, and CC (this time at CC I will leave my glasses on the shore, more about that in Friday's report).

It is nearly midnight, and yes, I am writing my notes out on the verandah again, it's so peaceful and quiet out here, but I need to get ready for bed, we have our DISmeet Brunch at Palo in the morning.

GREAT REPORTS. Keep them coming.

I'm pooping out here people, I have been on the computer since 6am, only a few people know this, but I have been fighting a bad cold since Wednesday of our cruise, but, I was not going to allow that to dampen my cruise experience, even after loosing my glasses on CC, I kept an upper lip, and moved on. Heck, I needed new glasses anyhow. I have been doing all this computer work today with no glasses(my old specs do not have bi-focals), and that's what I need. Sometimes I have to get within 6 inches of the monitor to see what I have written, that's why it has taken me so long today, but I trudged on for my DIS Family!!! What a trooper, I am!!! LOL!!!

Andy you poor thing :( :( Thanks SO MUCH to you for taking the time and getting so many days of your trip report typed up but now I feel so badly, just imagining you feeling so ill and not able to see well :( PLEASE go make a cup of hot tea and take some Tylenol or something and FEEL BETTER SOON!!!!!

I know, that's what keeps me pushing forward!!!

Andy,

I really enjoy reading your trip reports. The best thing is that they are not too long but you seem to be reporting the most interesting and important info. Great job! Can't wait for day 6. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I almost forgot. I love the picture of the sunset. I saved that one.

Great reports, I've enjoyed them very much. Thanks. After you have a chance to rest, could you answer a question about Sapphire Beach. It looks lovely. Did you snorkel here and if so, how was it?

Thanks, looking forward to the rest of your report.

I didn't snorkel there, but other DIS'ers did, and they told me they saw a ton of fish maybe about 50-75 feet from the shore line.

Thanks for sharing your trip reports! I can't wait to hear the rest.... Hopefully, you can get new glasses soon!

I hope you are feeling better soon! I am really enjoying your trip reports. When we cruise next our sons will be 14. I am envisioning myself typing, "the DSs were still sleeping...." much like your DD.

Just walked in the door from Lenscrafters with my new specs, YEAH, I can see again!!!

music girl-

We went snorkeling on Sapphire Beach. You could see fish without having to swim very far. There is a shop to rent a snorkle and fins- I believe it was $5/hour( I will let you know the excact price later as my husband paid for them) My daughter had just a face mask(no snorkel or fins) and was able to see plenty of fish. I would bring water shoes to Sapphire beach as it is somewhat rocky. Being from New England I didnt think it was too bad, but someone from New Jersey was very uncomfortable- she bough water shoes for $12 at the rental shop. If you have any questions, just ask
AnnMarie
