8/21/08 Wonder 3 night

Yeah, livin in U.K. it's not so easy to get there regular, so I'm making sure we make the most of it! Hardrock is my idea of heaven! (Maybe Steve Tyler will pop in for cocktails? I can live in hope!!!):lmao:

Just checked out your thread, haha, we are such similar creatures. My hubby does exactly the same, holiday begins at airport and that's that! At least they're chilled out enough to let us get on with what we want to do then!

Anyways, just taking girls to get passport photos sorted,

See ya soon, Mandy.

I am from the UK too but have lived here most of my life. Born in Southampton, came here at 4 y.o. then went back from 16-20 but lived in High Wycombe. I used to go to the Hard Rock in London ALL the time and I love the fact that my name is on the first page of their menu :thumbsup2 We have one about 10 mins from where I live and I went last week with my sister and were seated next to the Alice Cooper memorabilia so Cooper was all excited! My cousin is coming in a few weeks from S'oton for a visit so I need to put in my shopping list (Cadburys, flakes, Milky Bar, fruit pastilles.... my list could go on!) I go back every 2-3 years, Bella LOVES England and has a hard time deciding between England and Disney

Oh wow! That's so weird! I'm from the Wirral, but my Mum got married when I was 5 and moved to Southampton! (Long story!) I lived there when I was 13, and 16 (Another long story!!):rotfl: , went to Southampton Tech! Haha! I take the girls about 3 times a year to Nanny n Grandads! (They live in a mobile home n I get stuck on couch for a week, ouch!!!)

LOVE Hardrock in London, I'm a die hard, went to the one in Hurghada in Egypt, Amsterdam (My friend named Jude got sat under the "Hey Jude" disc by the Beatles by coincidence!), New York, Manchester will be in June with my All Access Membership Card!!!:cool2: (Are we gonna get told off for being off topic?) How lucky are you with your name on the menu? I suppose if Barry Manilow ever opens a restaurant I'll be in with a chance (OH Mandy!!) (That man caused me a lot of suffering in my early years!!!)

As for the sweets, the grass is greener, I love those Peanut Butter Cups!:cloud9:

U.K n Disney, well I know what I'd choose, but that again is down to the grass being greener!:thumbsup2

Well that's me, will check in again soon!

My Nan lives is Sholing and my cousin is in Itchen, so funny! She ALWAYS has me bring her her Reeses PB cups and peanut butter when I visit! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: My name is Leyla and we all know the Eric Clapton song  My dh's best friend from his hometown dated Peter Morton's (who was a founder of HR or something like that) sister. I need to ask for the hook-up! they have THE best chicken quesedilla's :cloud9:

hello and happy weekend!!! well my weekend starts tomorrow after 4.. i feel like i'm always working on sat.

Mandy- well we went to look for cakes and no HM or HSM cakes, so she picked Sponge Bob???? i said Sponge Bob, where the heck did this come from????? i ask if she just wanted a cake w/ just flowers and she said , no Sponge Bob!! ok then Sponge Bob it is!! we'll see if she remembers on Sunday what she picked!!
so you like Hard Rock too. thats why we are going to Myrtle Beach, SC. in June. so we can go to the Hard Rock theame park!!should be fun, but nothing like DW! well i am also going because i've just dying to go to the KISS cafe!! should be fun!!

Pierresgirl- that is so exciting that you daughter won a HM guitar. and how cool is that that she is going to be on the radio!! is she singing??

bye for now
~Sue

Yeah but Leyla by Eric Clapton is far more cool than Barry Manilow, you know it's true! How lucky are you? If you ever manage to get close enough to the person in charge of Hardrock, I will expect a detailed account with photos!!! :lmao: Those chicken thingies sound fab (ok so I can't spell quesedillas!!);)

We can get the PB Cups in Woolworths and Asda here now, they're amazing! We can also get Beef Jerky, I hadn't even heard of that till I went to New York, it's sooo good! (So's the Pastrami on rye at Kats Deli, but that's another story!)

Sue - Spongebob? I didn't see that coming! I hope she has a fab time, and a very happy birthday! The Hardrock, what can I say? Love love love it! The theme park looks amazing, you'll have to tell me all about the Kiss cafe, I wonder if Gene Simmons will pop in? (or Paul, Ace or Peter?) It's so sad that I know all the names!! Such a pity that they're not all together anymore. Kiss are playing a festival in U.K, but it's not the Kiss line up that we all know. I've seen them live twice, the show is amazing. Paul Stanley came in above the crowd on a zip wire!

Soo, anyhoo, the cruise? Anyone up for a cocktail or three while we're on board? :beach:

:rolleyes1 It's all gone very quiet on here, thought I'd better check in as I haven't been on for a few days. Hope everyone is ok. Not long till we can book ecxursions, does anyone know if we can book Palo or anything like that?

Well we had 2 nice days here in U.K, that's much better than the 1 that we had last year!! So guess what I've been doing? Yep, I'm a party animal alright - :laundy:

Very sad, I know, but we have to make the most of it not being cold and raining!!

Hope to hear from someone,.... anyone....soon??:rotfl:

I'm here, been crazy this week! I'm definetly up for some drinkies on board, maybe a martini flight meet??!!

Did you see my trip binder? The stickers say it all :rotfl2: Ahhh, only on holiday!

I'm here too!!! i have'nt been on the comp. much this week- dh is in a class this week, and has been on the comp.making presentations,(yuck!!) he has 2 more days of school, thank god can't wait for it to end!
yes, i hope we can meet up some where on the boat!!! i'm in!! i'm sure dh will be too!!
i can't beleive 4 weeks from today, we book shore excursios!! still have to look at the book, but i think we are going to Atlantis.
i think you can book Palo starting that date. i don't think we will eat there, maybe if the cruise was longer!
Pierresgirl- love the binder!! how cute. all of my vacation docs. are sitting in a clear plastic folder.... BOARING!!!! i know!!!
oh well i hope everyone has a great and a happy mothers day tomorrow!!

Maybe if this thread really gets going we can let the kids who are in the same age group "chat" on here or email so they have a little friend beforehand? I've seen on a few other reports or threads that they have done that so just thought I'd throw it out there!

Awesome! Well, Bella is 8 (2nd grade), a total tomboy, into Hannah Montana, hockey, baseball, etc. and loves to play with boys, as much as girls) Cooper is 5 (in K), loves all superhero's, and is very outgoing. They are both actually pretty outgoing and I'm sure we'll rarely see them on the cruise!

my two are ... nicolas- 5 and in k, also. he will be 6 about 2 weeks after we get back. he loves his super heros too, now i think he is into speed racer, and loves his funkey's (computer game). and also is on a soccer team!!

christine- will be 4 in 12 days is just in nursery school, she will be in pre- k when vacation is over! she is a girly, girl... and want to be a cheerleader, but she has to wait for next year (pre-k).

both of them are really shy the first time they meet new people, and once they get to know you forget it then they just can't be bothered with us, (me & dh)! she is here right now watching me on THE DIS!!!

hope everyone has a great moms day!!!

HI there everyone, hope you are all well. So it was Mom's day there this week? Ours was in March, strange how there are different dates aint it?

Anyways, weather in U.K is fab at the moment. Maybe my legs will be slightly less luminous by the summer! ;)

Leyla, lovin the binder, and by the way, how cute?

So organised you are (Sue and Leyla) (in the words of Yoda!!) All my paperwork is at work because my kids don't know anything about the cruise. I'd love them to get to know everyone beforehand but I want this to be a total surprise. :yay:

They are Storm aged 10, and Teigan aged 6, I'm pretty sure that they'll make themselves known when we meet

Well, I'll be off now, bloomin tired, it's 11pm, I just can't stay up late at the moment. Prob because the weather's too hot!!!:rolleyes1

Bye for now, talk soon, Mandy.

hi ladies, just checkin' in to say hi!!! nothing going on to much over here either..just wondering if anyone has heard about the jersey lady who went over board on the NCL Dawn... it has got me nervous, not for me but for the kids. this is why we did not get a balcony- just a window.. but still i get nervous for when they are in the oceaners club (or what ever its called). do they take the kids out of the room?? i don't know never brought them on a ship were they would have been old enough to participate in the clubs. oh well its just me being paranoid!!!

ski---where are you??? you havent checked in, in about a month. i hope everything is ok??

i hope everyone else is great.
we'll chat soon!!
~Sue

Hi everyone,

We will be on the Wonder - me and DH, DSon20, Dsis, Dniece15 and Dnephew12

This will be our 3rd Disney cruise. We are staying at the Boardwalk the week before and then Old Key West the week after.

Thanks for the info about Pirate night. We have Pirate outfits from the Pirate Party last August.

Looking forward to meeting everyone pirate:

hi mikesmom & welcome aboard!!!
we are staying at OKW also, but you will be there after us!!
still have to find some pirate attire for us!! we'll see.

hey where is every one!!!!!?????? gosh i hope we are not going to be the quiet on the ship!!!

Hello People!:grouphug: Hey sorry about the radio silence, been hectic!

Hope all is well, welcome mikesmom, so you're a serial cruiser then? I shall definately be plying you for more information!

Hey Sue, I read about the lady on the NCL Dawn, sounds very scary, but I'm sure in true Disney style, everything will be spectacularly safe and lovely. I certainly hope so anyway, I don't wanna spend my cruise worrying about anything!

Ok, so we've had the last of our summer I think, although it lasted rather longer than the last one we had! :rotfl: It's back to socks and cardigans, so my legs that were starting to respond to the sunlight, are now returning to the usual corpse like colour that they were to begin with! (Sorry guys, but my legs are seriously white!)

My head is very disney'd out. I think I've read every book, forum etc. I still gotta work out my specific itinerary, but I can't bring myself to do it just yet. I think once I'm paid up that will kick my behind into doing something. Booked all my disney resort meals etc so that's all good. My girls still don't know anything about this cruise, it's my little secret, and oh so difficult to keep it that way.

Ok, so I'm just about to do all my hoovering before I pick the girls up from school. It's a very interesting life I lead! :lmao: Got my hat by the way, it's funky!pirate:

Well, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do, :laundy: Yep, I'm definately in need of my hols! Talk soon, bye for now!

Hi Postalcop and Minniemandy

Yes, we love to cruise (just did our 1st Royal Carribbean in January - lots of fun but not Disney) so ask away Minniemandy

Is anyone thinking of doing the excursion to Atlantis? I read somewhere that some Disers rent a room at the Comfort Suites on Paradise Island for the day and they give you passes to go use the facilities at Atlantis. This can be alot cheaper than paying for the escursion via Disney. I checked the rates at the Comfort Suites and it is $188.10 (AAA rate) for one night for one room. We have 6 people in our party so we would need to reserve 2 rooms. We are thinking about it. The Atlantis is supposed to be beautiful.

Hi everyone! I've had a very busy week between work and taking a certification class, it's all good though!

I don't think we are going to do any excursions in Nassau. I'd love to do Atlantis but since it's only a 3 day cruise I want to enjoy the boat. We'll do the straw market (love me those bags :thumbsup2 ) and putz about but that's about it.

On CC my dh and dd want to parasail and maybe we'll do one of those paddle boat things, other than that I'm not sure.... Just enjoy myself basically!
