And now that I have time to sit and post, everyone's leaving....:rolleyes1 ....guess I'll have to talk to myself

Hey...

... I'm just checking IN! I'm stuffed too... they ALMOST had to use a wheel chair to get me in the front door! But I bravely waved the notion off!

I remember you were going to the chinese buffet. I was jealous. Chinese sounded good tonight. But I just ended up with homemade chicken soup.

Good for you, wobble out on your own!:rotfl:

OMG the video was hilarious!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am easily distracted so if there are too many links I will stay behind for days. I can't resist the urge...;)

Ok, just got back from hockey, installed the new high speed internet (only way to keep up with this thread--now my DW can keep a closer eye on my posts; not sure if that is a good thing. :rotfl2: ) and caught up with the pages and pages of posts.

It's about 1 AM and I am "trolling" the DIS boards. It's like an alcoholic waking up from a binge and looking at themselves in the mirror.

I agree with the comments on speed reading and Evelyn Wood. A few months ago, I commented in a college class I teach about the distinguished Ms. Wood. You could hear a pin drop. Just another sign of aging.

Although I recall those days, can't relate much to the Donnie Osmond, Shawn Cassidy, LIef Garrett reference. I was, however, a proud member of the Kiss Army back in the day.

It's a tough job - but somebody has to do it!

Well since prices were mentioned again (something that is really making me nervous) I thought I would add my 2 cents. I posted this on another thread but I have a DCL brochure that lists not the starting price but most expensive price for an inside at 1699.00, under 3 at 139.00, 3-12 at 1399.00 & all others at 1699.00. An oceanview is listed at 2099.00 & verandah at 2499.00 with the 3rd & 4th passengers staying the same. A Cat. 6 at 2599.00would have a starting price of 8300.00 for my family of 4 not including taxes & fees. Don't know if this is the actual price they will be charging but it might give you an idea since it's straight from the DCL brochure. :confused3

Seriously...

I had to reread your posting here thrice... and are you saying these rates are the STARTING prices for a PANAMA CANAL voyage on DCL? Is that right? If so then we do have the lowest rates for some of the various catagories.

And what were you referring to when you said your brochure had maximum price cielings as well? If so - what were they... please?

I take it to read that those are the max amounts for the categories 10-11.

I'm sorry but I am still a bit confused here... but I am still reading forward in the thread to try and catch up from the 1890s... yup... the 1890s!!!

You ANIMALS! Correction... you Pirate ANIMALS!!!!! I run off for Karate class and dinner at 5:20 or so... and now it is 9:40. So ... in approximately 200 minutes we heaped on about 200 posts. Yup... that's about 1 per MINUTE on average for 3 hours and 20 minutes .... what, no one went to the potty or had dinner in the last 3 hours???

... I say again... you've been a pack of PIRATE PARTY ANIMALS tonight!!!

OK, in honor of Lisa's Ode to Shakespeare (who I am sure would be immensely proud of this thread) I have surmised what his assessment might be were he here to join us.

To cruise, or not to cruise: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the end to suffer
The scrimping and debt of spending a fortune,
To set sail upon a sea with Captain Jack,
No use opposing it then? To cruise: to pillage;
Once more; and by pillage to say we give not
and take all and the thousand natural shocks
of final tab at cruises end, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd away. To cruise, to pillage;
To plunder: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For once you cruise with Captain Jack what dreams may come

Sweet Dreams Everyone!

I think about the only thing I haven't chimed in on is how DW and I met.

We are both from the same home town (Toledo, Ohio area). I came home from college over Christmas break and went to a friend's apartment for a party. My wife was "kind of" dating my friend at the time. By about midnight we were out of wine and a trip to the store was in order. She volunteered to go with me. The store was less than 2 miles away. It probably took 2 hours before we came back--told them we got "lost." Hey, it was 2 AM by then and they had been drinking since probably 8 PM--not the best excuse but, then again, they were not a tough sell--other than my "friend." We lost touch for a little while but caught back up maybe 18 months later and, as they say, the rest is history. We have been together for what will be 20 years in August 2008. Married since 1991.

I posted earlier that I wasn't sure I had much pirate in me but I just realized that I stole my friend's woman and took her off to another state--maybe there is hope for me yet. pirate:

Full of my new found pirate creditials I will summarize my "how I met my spouse" with a hardy . . .

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN!!!!

OK, (I just told you I think that I am addicted) but who is still around to hit 2,100? Stick around or go to bed? In for a penny in for a pound--Is anybody with me?

Getting back to today's anticipated press event. Looks like the early leaks of an event at Disneyland today were wrong. There are definitely things happpening at WDW this week, but so far DL has been quiet.

I did however, find this at Career Builder. You can win a Disney Dream Job for a day, along with a trip to DL.
