Morning Everyone

One week to go and we are 110 pages in , Wow - I feel bad for some of the new people who will be joining this thread after they make there Ressie ....I think we will have 150 pages by Wednesday of next week ...Anyone care to put together a Review of the last 110 pages so Newbies that come in have an idea of whats going on without going through every page ???

Great idea since I can barely keep up. This would not only help the newbies, but those of us that a day or two.....heck you miss an hour and your lost sometimes.

So Stacey--you think Barb can put in for IC rooms for inaugural voyage?

Lunchtime is over, it's back to the grind, I mean meters!!! :lmao:

So they have rum in Alaska? Okay then we are aboard.

Yeah, but take whatever you pay for rum at home and TRIPLE it.

We figure the booze savings when we move back to the lower 48 this summer will help pay for this cruise!

I've always hoped DCL wouldn't come to AK until they have a new ship. The Inside Passage on Magic or Wonder would not be very magical IMO.

Gotta share a funny story that happend last night...

We finally decided to join DVC (it has been on our list for sometime) and the WELCOME package showed up last night. After looking through it I had a question so I thought I would call DVC. Missy had the brochures and stuff so I asked for the number and she said, "UH...it is 1-800-800-8900 or something like that". I called the number and was taken back by what I heard; it clearly wasn't anyone from Disney. For a laugh call the number and let me know what you think.

We got our pack the other day as well and have been also talking about this ....I really want some incentives thought ...Like annual passes or something ...:lmao: :lmao: One could hope right ???

Now I'm in a quandry. Do I want the inagural voyage for this ship no matter which itinerary....or do I want the inagural Alaska voyage....hmm!

Good point never thought about it like that. If it is indeed the end of the year it would be doing Mexican Riviera. You know what I was freezing in all those places in June last time-----I really would not want to do them in Jan.

The inaugural voyage would be quite eventful !!!!!!! I would much rather do Alaska though. Hard choice.

My TA (not Barb) already did. I call her "Mad Dog".....she never gives up on getting me what I want. :cutie:

Oops.....I didn't put in for inaugural.....just any old Alaska. Maybe I'd better have her amend it!

Darn, How long was that walk??????:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Todd where are you we need a new theme.......
Pirates in Alaska

So they have rum in Alaska? Okay then we are aboard.

Between walking the kid to school and back , its a mile there and a mile bike ...Plus at the gym I ride the bike for anothr 5 miles ...So I usally do about 8 to nine miles a day 5 days a week plus of course I work on the different weight machines for another 45 minutes ...

As for the New Ship ....Do not count on it coming to CA ....One of the Ships will come to CA most likely the Wonder ....The Magic will Move to the Bahama cruises and the Dreams will do eastern , western and southern cruises .....I am not a fan of cruising Alaska ..to me cruise somewhere cold is not a cruise ..I want sun , some heat and a tan ....

That's the way I feel about it, too, but husband and son want to do it. So if I am going to HAVE to do it, I want to do it on DCL, and in a nice room!

:rotfl: :rotfl: Oh Good! You guys are still fantasizing about Alaska!

Get enough of the Cold here! Don't want to have to pay to see it!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

We are speculating on today's announcement.

This is where I am getting information on 3rd ship.

Vacation Club / Grand Californian Expansion
Meanwhile, back in Anaheim, there are additional projects about to get underway that don't involve clown fish or pirates. In a press event scheduled for January 24th, Disneyland will finally announce several things regular readers already know about, and a few things you don't know yet. The Toy Story Midway Mania attraction opening in Paradise Pier in June, 2008 will finally be fessed up to at this event, as well as the Pirates Lair at Tom Sawyer Island project.
Also to be announced this month is the first of a series of Disney Vacation Club properties slated for Anaheim. The DVC units are planned to be part of an extension of the Grand Californian's west wing over what is now the wedding garden and a valet parking lot. This new addition will add almost 300 new rooms and suites to the hotel, as well as 50 DVC units for members to use. That's a modest beginning, to be sure, but you don't think Disney installed a DVC cart every 50 yards in Anaheim for just 50 units do you? Of course they didn't, but they are going to start slow and build from there. Just the fact that they are finally building dedicated DVC units in Anaheim is enough, and there will be more to follow as the DCA expansion project takes hold later this decade. The look of the new wing of the Grand Californian should blend fairly seamlessly into the original hotel, although there will be plenty of construction noise and inconvenience for hotel guests for the next few years.
The other big announcement to be made is that the Disney Cruise Line will be returning to the West Coast for the summer of 2008. A third ship in the Disney fleet has been contracted out of an Italian shipyard, but it won't be here in '08. They'll borrow one of the existing boats from Florida for that summer while they wait for the new boat that is purpose built for West Coast waters to arrive at the end of the decade. TDA would like to run cruises to the Mexican Riviera in winter, and up to British Columbia and Alaska in summer. But those types of itineraries require a different type of ship with different types of weather protection and amenities than the fair weather Disney Magic and Wonder are equipped with.
