Did you see that Roy Disney is getting divorced? Could be an expensive endeavor.......

"You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension. A dimension of sound. A dimension of sight. A dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into...The Pirate Zone. Los Angeles, 2005. Amid the glitz and the glitter of a bustling, cruise port at the height of its golden age, The Disney Magic was a star in its own right; a beacon for the DIS elite. Now, something is about to happen that will change all that. The time is now on an evening very much like the one we have just witnessed. Tonight's story on The Pirate Zone is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a Disney Cruise ship still in operation, waiting for you. We invite you, if you dare, to step aboard because in tonight's episode, you are the star. And this ship travels directly to...The Pirate Zone."

"You are the passengers on a most uncommon cruise ship about to sail into your very own episode of...The Pirate Zone. One stormy night long ago, 57 DIS families stepped onto a gangway and into a dream. That gangway is opening once again, and this time it's opening for you. You are about to discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension...beyond the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination...in the Disney Magic.”

“A friendly word of warning; something you won't find in any guidebook. The next time you check into a cruise ship on the dark side of Los Angeles, make sure you know just what kind of vacancy you're filling. Or you may find yourself a permanent resident of...The Pirate Zone”

I like it a lot. How about www.thepiratezone.net?? I'll have it registered and available in two days.

The link didn't work but I love that intro. I copied it to the first post. :) If that doesn't scare new comers off...they are going to have a blast with us!

Guys, it has been a blast but 8 am is going to come before I am ready for it...especially since DD has no problem getting out of bed at 6:30 when she doesn't have to go to school unlike weekday mornings when I have to drag her out of bed. OY! And so it goes....

I love thepiratezone.net ! I'm sure we'll hear from others soon.:lmao:

Do you think we can do a bulk order for lime green carpal tunnel wrist braces? I think I'm gonna need one of those by the time we sail!

Bite your tongue! I've been wearing a lovely black wrist brace since 2 weeks before Thanksgiving! And most likely will be wearing it for a good long time...unless the doc does what he threatened, and puts a cast on my wrist.
I fell, landed on my hand/wrist, and damaged the tendon just below my thumb. I would have been better off had I broken the wrist!

I feel so inadequate among all this creativity!

Oh, this can't be helping.

Good Grief! A girl steps out for a couple of Margaritas and comes back five pages later into the Pirate Zone. Now even in my slightly less than with it state, I can safely say that is a Zone I will dare to enter!

But ya gotta love chatters!:chat: I wish I could keep up!

Hey, thanks to the poster who estimated the costs of this cruise for us. I have been having some reservations as to whether we should be spending this kind of money on a 2 week trip but, heck... I'm determined to make it work somehow. I was really hoping for around $7500 but I think that especially adding in plane flights, excursions, and the usual stateroom charges, I better be prepared for $10K. Ouch. Hope my DH doesn't ask!:scared:

Marcy

That was ME Marcy...

... not that my estimates are worth more then a hill of beans though. If I may confess- I am actually hoping the kids in 3rd and 4th PAX positions will be cheaper then I've predicted. As that might save us something... and I am wondering again whether I chould ask about guaranteed cabin reservations. ????? Naw... I'm gonna get a cabin assignment this time. I tried a guarantee on the last DCL voyage - and I ran a thread that asked folks to share their guarantee cabin assignments - plus cross referencing info so I could try to puzzle together any patterns... and in so doing I have estimated that the juicy upgrades to verandas go to 1st time cruisers... and the Castaway Club PAx get 1 to 3 catagory bumps - on no bump at all! So... I'm out of luck - or low on luck for getting an amazing upgrade fro a guarantee... especially seeing as this will be our 5th DCL voyage.

So... it's a cabin assignment for us this time.... if the pricing is more or less as I've predicted .... or less somehow. On the other hand - if the pricing is a lot higher then we expect then we might do as LBGraves said - and pass this voyage in favor of something else - like a DD voyage.:confused3
