Todd---
You had asked about boarding in LA--In my opinion it was awful. Not at all what we DIS cruisers were used to. Yes they did have a childrens area set up and it was actually much larger but the porters and check in people definitely did not have that Disney attitude. It was not well organized and when they actually began boarding at 1PM (of course Stacey wouldn't know this because she was in the Roy/Walt and got the concierge preboard) it was like MASS trampling. I felt like I was at a Rolling Stones concert.

Stacey were you the holdup?? Is that why we didn't board until 1pm???? Hey by that time I am usually sitting by the pool with a bahama mama in hand after a lunch at Topsiders. I remember it took forever for our suitcases too. I think we got ours at 6pm.

Wow I am surprised at the way you described it ...I would have thought Disney would have went to many lengths to make sure the "Experience" was carried through from the porters till you got onboard ...Hopefully things will be different when we go ..

That is cool!! Who took the picture of you on the balcony??

It is usaual for the Panama authorities to allow a couple of ships photograpers off the ship, they will take picutures of you at the locks as the ship moes very slowly.

Suggest you put something on the area you are at, we had an ENGLISH flag in the background and it will help you at shutters as they all look the same.

As this thread has moved on so fast, thank you in 'bulk' for nice comments on my pics.

VM thank you for the AOL radio link I said it was internet radio, the stingray bit was filmed at CC with my familiy there, but they cut our bit!

All of the people working at the port were employees of the Port of Los Angeles...dressed in Disney outfits. So they were lacking that Disney attitude.
The slow-downs that I saw were at points where they were Disney people, who just weren't used to doing it differently.

My oldest DS was born there ...when did you leave Vegas ????

pirate:

I left Las Vegas in 1990...I went off to college, eventually got married, and DH's job just didn't exist in Vegas, so I guess I have not technically lived there since then. I miss it alot at times though, but we go down often enough (we live in Boise now) that it seems to help.

From what I have heard, the 10% discount and the OBC will be able to be transferred from the dummy booking to the Repo booking.

WOOO HOOOO! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Clearly price is dictated by demand; that is a given. Sooooo by tracking threads like this one DCL can get a better idea of what is popular and possibly set the initial price point by tracking our insanity.

Perhaps it is not a good idea to show them how interested we are in this cruise. Of course, at this point if I am correct we pretty much already “screwed the pooch”.

DOH!!!!:rolleyes1

I had a English flag it helped us in PC locate all our pictures and asome ports I was able to zoom in on my camorder on our room, once to watch disney maintenance in our room! You have to keep it tidy as Cptn Tom has told people of for ''washing'' and wet clothes on the verandahs

This'll probably get me in trouble...but I was looking around on the main boards....which I've been told I should never do, because something there always make me mad...but anyway...

Am I the only one who thinks there should be a rule about the minimum number of people in a suite?? Especially the Cat 1's and 2's.....I don't think 2 people should be allowed to book them, they should be saved for families or larger groups who need the space.

I never thought of it that way. We always talk about why you can't book AT LEAST 8 people in the Cat 1s. We know a few families that also have 4 members that it would be fun to split the Roy or Walt but for some reason DCL only allows 7. :(

We found out that the only way it would sleep 8 is if two shared the master bed (it doesn't split to twins) and two shared the murphy bed in the library, and two in the bunks above the twins in the 2nd bedroom....which is okay if you have kids with you, but not for all adults.
And.....the sofa in the living room of the Walt and Roy does NOT make into a bed at all!

Do you Vegas people happen to know a guy named William Watters? He was Willie to me, but I doubt he goes by that now.
We went to school together and dated for a while. He's either an attorney or a judge in Vegas now.
