8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC

Just got of the phone with a supervisor at DCL and i asked about a ball park figure for a CAT6,two adults and two 13year olds it will be OVER $12,000 was her answer....
I'll still be trying on the 31st but the lady spoke of $9,500 for a cat 11 so things aint looking great.....

These prices have me rethinking the vacation. I talked with DH and we both think that's too high for 2 weeks of really bad food. I'm thinking we may just book another double dip for 2008, we really enjoyed the one in december.

Dody, don't give up yet. I doubt that those are the real numbers. If they are, I doubt that many will be booking it.

I was just figuring ...if you want a Cat 10 with four people ..and you compare it to the Med thread as of what the price is right now I think you will be close to the PC repo

the Cat 10 for 4 ( I used my Ds15 and Ds 6) with no insurance or transfers for the Med Repo coming back will be

7066.44

That comes out to 117.77 dollars a day per person based on 15 days or 471.09 per day for the Family ...

Thats a good deal for 15 days including food , entertainment , housekeeper and a sitter for the kids at your beckoning call ...

Our request is in for this cruise! We are so excited it will be a reunion cruise with all of our PC Repo Ship of Fools friends and others. I see some familiar names here. I can't believe my daughter will be 11 at the time of this sailing. This will be our fifth sailing with some of the same folks, they are like family now.

On the last PC Repo cruise there were 2 formal nights, 2 semi-formal, one pirate night and one tropical. There was a lovely Princess tea hosted by Belle in Lumiere's.

We had no problems getting Palo reservations. You have the same amount of people on board with twice as much availability. I love how Disney really made an effort to improve the ports for this cruise. Of course more ports usually means more $$$.

Were just hoping to get a Cat 6 and a cat 11 across the hall ...Plus Melissa informs me that her Parents are interested so that means another Cat 11 ...So I will need 1 Cat 6 and 2 Cat 11's right across the hall from each other ....

Okay...this isn't big news, but here goes:

My TA had a fax from DCL this afternoon. It said that DCL's Inventory Control will have completed all of the calls to people who sent in requests, by Wednesday.

Trouble is, they didn't say WHICH Wednesday! Would that be the 24th, or the 31st???

Ok I have a question, If you put a reservation req in with a TA (DU) does this get you in with IC? Does IC call me or my TA? OH MY I am so excited about this one....

It depends on the instruction given by your TA to IC; it could be either way. I put in a request for a Cat 1 on 07/11/05 about 37 months in advance and I told my TA that I didn't care who got called as long as one of us did. My request was for the 3rd or 4th week of August of 2008. At the time I didn't think I would be sailing both weeks.

Well, I put in my request with DU for cat. 6 EB. I'm really hoping that it isn't too expensive - I could just tell DH it's my 40th Bday present (turning 40 June 08 )!

We booked 08/06 in 09/04 and I followed the thread the entire 23 months. It was interesting to see how people's lives changed over that time. Some had to cancel, some you didn't expect joined, but all in all a lot happened over the 2 years.

We booked that cruise at the same time as well. It's hard to plan two cruises so I didn't really focus on the 8/06 cruise until after the Repo. I remember lots of people joining, cancelling and some REjoining the PC Repo Cruise. It was an interesting dynamic with several sub-groups planning activities. We had a great time except 7 days seemed so short. I can't believe we have 2 - 2 week cruises planned!

JWeiss is planning on this cruise as well

Nice to hear from you. I knew some more fools would have to show up sooner or later. I know we cancelled the Med. Repo but hopefully we'll see you all on the Panama Cruise of 2008.
