And I read the other posts about it. The only thing I have to say about the whole situation is that part of me would really like to be able to post with both groups- because there are some on that board that are people I have cruised with before, talked a lot with, etc. and they are GREAT PEOPLE! But the more things happen like this with the insults and such towards those I've grown close to on this board and flat out insulting this board too- which I will always be loyal to for so many reasons- the more I think I CAN'T join in talking with that group because it would be like taking sides against everyone here!
I wish it didn't have to be lke this and end up being an either/or type thing. But I'm afraid that's where it's going...

1) What would you take - lump sum or annual payments?
I'd prefer the 26 pymts thing, I think.

2) What would be the FIRST application for your 1st dollar of proceeds?
Um, pay off the cruises ofcourse!

3) Where would go on your first trip with the proceeds?
Hawaii or Alaska probably... before this cruise.

4) Would you continue working or maintain the MAJORITY of your routine?
I don't have a job outside the home right now anyway... and I don't know if DH would quit. I think he and I would end up divorced after a few years if he was home every single day 24/7. Seriously. LOL

5) What charity or non-profit would be the 1st beneficiary of your windfall?
boy that's hard to say, I'd probably give to quite a few pretty much simultaneously- hard to say which one would be first

6) Would you do anything special with the proceeds in the near future?

7) What would be the most crazy thing you might do which otherwise would be far fetched to consider now?
I can't think of anything crazy. I can't see myself spending money foolishly no matter how much I have.

ANd since I lost track of my last 7 question deal and thus failed to answer my own questions (unintended)... here are my queries and answers below... Easier to quote and edit:

I want a LUMP SUM
2) What would be the FIRST application for your 1st dollar of proceeds?
I would pay off our mortgage debt
3) Where would go on your first trip with the proceeds?
I would take my expanded family to Italy ASAP
4) Would you continue working or maintain the MAJORITY of your routine?
Hard to imagine if I were the sole winnner of 1/3 a billion... or rather 100 million in after tax lump sum (estimated)
5) What charity or non-profit would be the 1st beneficiary of your windfall?
Make a Wish of the Tricounties would get a nice check from my family
6) Would you do anything special with the proceeds in the near future?
I would establish a self perpetuating scholarship fund in our family name. A little slice of immortality for us while helping a lot of kids in perpetuity.
7) What would be the most crazy thing you might do which otherwise would be far fetched to consider now?
I would buy a flight on the next space flight into orbit with the Russians! It might cost me $20,000,000 or so - but it would be worth it! HEY, I'm a Sci-fi fan... and this would definately count as a flight of fancy!

1. Lump Sum, although DH would fight on this one...he thinks pay outs are better

2. I would buy the first of my many vacation homes..starting with one in the White Mountains in NH

3. Would have to be a DCL cruise and would bring along whatever family and friends wanted to come

4. Nope definately not - I work out of my house and I really don't see myself staying in this house if I won that kind of money. Don't get me wrong, I love my home, however we bought it from my in-laws and it has never TRULY felt like MY house. I would keep it for Julia though.

5. St Jude's CHildren's Hospital

6. Set up Trust Funds for DD and all my Neices and nephews

7. I would buy a Harley for myself shhh, don't tell DH - this is one of my secret fantasies I keep to myself.

I work in our stores with DH. It is not easy....now if we were both able to not work and do as we wished we would probably get along much better.

After I read through ketchup today, yes. That is such a great rate. It will probably be just Julia and me...now way DH can get off more than two weeks in a row. We'd be looking for someone to hang out with (but only if you wanted to, I'd understand if you have family time). Are you staying there?

LOL - DH said to me earlier that he wants to do something with golf. He wants to open an indoor golf center here when he retires anyway, so this way he really do it.
