8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 9

Good Morning! We are back, uck! It's cold here! We had a "magical" time and our servers Zaldy & Martina were great. Our cabin host Narciso was awesome.

DD had fun in the Oceaneer Lab and harassed one of the CMs! She and a couple of other kids were calling one of the pirates a weenie and she almost got thrown overboard! He was a good looking pirate. Yum!

I got my pic taken with Captain jack, but when he started doing that bug eye thing it really freaked me out and it was hard not to laugh!

Met the HR Manager on the Magic and now post retirement posibilities are swirling in my head. We bought the Disney Crocs and some jibbits.

I went down to deck 2 and took a picture of our future cabin 2566. Dumb I know but I can look at it and day dream!

Discovered that the cheap clear plastic shoe bag I got from Dollar Tree, fits perfect as a fish extender! Thought we could decorate it with stickers and markers. Will try to post a pic of it tonight.

Now to try and ketchup!

Looks like I won't finish catching up for now. At least I am almost to today.

The washer and dryer are being delivered in a couple of hours so I have to finish cleaning where the old ones were. (YUCK!)

Also have to get my van back and pick up DD from school to take to dance. Later!

magx, girl? ok...don't mean to be intrusive but do you
have a "french connection?"...we do, & it was kind neat how
my mother snuck it in, on us kids...my older brother patrick- has
her maiden name for his "middle'..piatt, after the piatt castles..,
the oldest was named michael "garland" and so forth..yep, my mother
was full of french and wasn't afraid to demonstrate it-- 's
attitude on occasions! ahhhhhh but my dad her for it...,he was pure
irish!

I too have the French Connection. My mother's maiden name was Yocherer . and wasn't afraid to demonstrate it either. Not sure why sometimes they feel superior.I did marry a full-blooded Italian. He is really a great guy.

No work today...We spent all evening FLOODING THE BASEMENT yesterday!!!!
Jen put a load of laundry in the washer yesterday before we left to go to a friend's DD's birthday party. Well, we got home last night to a completely flooded basement!!! (the washing machine is broken, so it is leaking all over...AND it's stuck on the rinse cycle, so it CONTINUOUSLY leaks all over while it's on!!!! So the ENTIRE time we were gone last night, we were flooding our basement!!!!)

AND, Jen was in tooth pain last night, and made an emergency dental appt this morning that's going to cost us about $1100.00. I just got a call from her to bring the credit card to her. She didn't bring it with her because she thought she'd be able to cover it with the debit card...

SO, after she's finished at the dentist, we get to go buy a new dryer!!! YAYYY!!!

I'm trying to keep my sense of humor about the whole thing...so I don't cry...LOL

Nope, fortunately just the washer needs to be replaced right now. I was so flustered earlier that I typed dryer instead...LOL...Sorry about the typo...

Well, a root canal later, and we're home and Jen's resting off the funny stuff before we go washer shopping. (I told her we should wait a day or two until she's feeling better, but she insists we need to not be a day without a washing machine...LOL...those days of the laundrymat are gone, never to return!! )

So anyhow, I'm online "window shopping" online now until she feels up to going out.

I was almost in shock when I came home last night. DD was washing dishes by hand and had emptied the dishwasher! She said she just felt like it. Keep in mind she has never washed a dish in her life before this.

Can you clue me in on what Koolaid you're giving her? I'd like some for my kids!

DH actually asked how everyone here was doing since he had been gone for 2 weeks. He may have a screen name too before this is over! I think he's been lurking, but he won't admit it. Hi Honey!

Anyway - he wants to know if there is an Al-Anon version for family and friends of Obsessive Cruise Planners Anonymous. He thinks our SOs may be able to help and support eachother. Funny guy, my DH. I told him they will be able to spot one another at all the meets as the people just standing on the periphery shaking their heads.

I'm so with you M. My DH is another lurker. I think he just checks in to see what I might be saying about him. He is getting a little concerned about my time on the DIS. He's unleashed a new strategy. He has started timing me, and feels its only fair if I devote equal time to "other personal interests" if you KWIM.

Hi everyone, happy Monday I'm trying to ketchup from the weekend ... but jeez you all were busy. My news for the day is that I was able to score tickets to see The Police at Fenway Park this summer for my DH's b-day. I tried to make it a surprise, but as I was ordering online, I missed the opportunity to change the billing information from my CC to my Dad's Now to just see if there's any way to keep DH from viewing that CC statement when it comes in ... otherwise, I'm gonna HAVE to fess up. He won't be at all upset ... but I still wanted more of a surprise

It was a shock when we got to port Canaveral! I think it was in the 50's. Castaway Cay was nice and warm. The water was another story, it was freezing.

We did manage to dodge an ice storm on 2/25.

Well the plan was to not travel this year in order to pay for TOAL but we've decided to meet the folks in Vegas for their birthdays! They go every year so we figured why break with tradition? Besides, they would prolly not like the better than even chance that we'll get snow over that weekend...and they don't like cold weather!

I will admit it, I am the DH of an obsessive compulsive scrapbooking over planner....

On our first Disney Cruise, we had all of her notes (ranging from ship plans to dining menus for each night. I kid you not, it was 3/4 of an inch thick) bound. We actually had more info on the shore excursions than the guest services desk that booked the ressies....... Ah, the days Before Children... last trip there were only about 20 pages stuffed into a folder...

So Give me an AMEN BROTHERS!!!, and tell me there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Well I'm off to get dd to take her to the Dr. She had a mishap with a beach chair on Castaway Cay and cut her pinkie toe right behind the nail. Wasn't very impressed with the first aide guy. Just want to make sure it's ok. It doesn't look infected, but what do I know? I have been putting neosporin on it like crazy!
