Holy Moly BIP.......that was one MONSTER post !!!!!

Mark

BiP and her MONSTER POSTS!

What!
That post wasn't even that big- matter of fact it takes less scrolling to get past my thread than the MANY times people posted replying to a post they quoted with all those pictures of little boys doing boy things. LOL (and I know this because I just caught up and had to keep scrolling past those same pictures over and over) I've had longer posts... and this one was mostly just a long quote!

Shannon....I'm really feeling for you right now. I remember feeling totally spent some days. I just couldn't wait for dh to come home to help out. I know that it's 10 times as hard when it's not your child. God Bless you for keeping your cool. And to look at the bright side.....the day is almost over......you will be alone with just your family this evening. Hopefully you will be able to get a good night's rest tonight. That will make all the difference in the world.
LOL!! getting rest.....here i sit trying to ketchup on all the posts i've missed since then!
A lot of pictures like this one?? (Epcot, Oct 2003)

fathers+sons.jpg

Though I have to admit this is one of my all time favorite pictures. (They're all even in step!) We're returning to WDW this year with this family. Kathy (mom to the kids on the left) and I were behind with the strollers. Our husbands have been best friends since grade school.
was this pic posted in the tiedye thread? we made the these shirts in orange for our halloween cruise...they turned out pretty good!

:furious: Stupid Idol Show.........

How they allow america to vote off talent and leave some of those flippin wanna be singers is beyond me..........:faint:

Mark

i agree....i wasn't impressed with the show tonite!

taht is the best part of the cruise i wear those tank top with the bras built in i hated having to come back to wear a bra:eek:

I'm definately getting a few of those myself for this cruise - not that I need the bra part but it does add a bit more coverage.

Hi, I know a lot of us are Catholics - and our priests are prohibited from marrying - today our parish newpaper arrived and the front page story related the story of a former Episcopal priest who was just ordained a Catholic priest. Now he is a MARRIED Catholic priest!!! Apparently he got a dispensation - as have other former Espiscopalian priests - now (married)Catholic priests.
If it's okay for some to be married - why not all??? Is this hypocritical - is this just me???? However, it just bothered me. Then, what about women priests. No I won't go there.
Okay - thanks for the place to vent!!

Chris

There is one in a church near here. Honestly, I think the odd part is that the person had the conviction to be ordained in one religion but then changes their mind and becomes Catholic. I guess I don't put much stock in that person's religious convictions. :confused3

On another note, had a surprise call from DD's orthopedic doctor. He called in response to a call I placed to his office to try and get DD a follow-up appointment for her MRI and Ultrasounds of her hip, sooner than a month and a half from now. He thought I was calling to try to move her test appointment. When I told him I wasn't worried about when the tests were but I couldn't understand waiting over another month to see him just to get the results, he was giving me his private secretary's number and told me to call in the am to get a better appointment at his office instead of the clinic that she was suppose to go too. How nice was that!!! I tell you at least now we have some doctors and hospital personal that have been really helpful.

What's up with DD's hip?

I am sort of a hip expert in that I had a Total Hip Replacement about 18 months ago. It was the best thing I ever did. Now I can walk all around WDW without any problem.

I'm sending a  for your DD.

Oh, don't you wish you still had that?

I really wish that I had my second car which was a 1963 Ford Galaxy 500 with a 390 V8 engine. It was a power house of a car! The only downside was about 6 miles to the gallon :scared1:

hi all! gonna try to pop in here today during naptime...i could really use a nap myself! so i'm hoping the boards here will help me stay awake!
it was a very long nite last nite...my gpa had a ruptured anyeurism (spelling?) on sat morning. they did surgery, and it looked to be like he was doing ok. they expected the surgery to last for 6 hrs, it only lasted 4! they thought he'd be on a resp for weeks...he was off it in 2 days! well, yesterday he had some major setbacks. his lungs and heart were doing very well...very strong! but yesterday afternoon, his heart stopped...but he's tough and stubborn and the docs got him going again! last nite was another story...his heart kept giving out numerous times, and they've had to put him back on the vent. he's not looking good, and we were at the hosp from midnite til after 3 this am. at least he's stable today...and he's a stubborn and strong old man!! which is good for his fighting chances! please keep him in your prayers!

I will definitely keep your Grandpa in my prayers tonight. I hope you are able to get some rest. :grouphug:

See, that doesn't bother me. Take Scott Hahn for example. He is a renowned Catholic author and apologist, and a former protestant minister. He was absolutely anti-Catholic. He actually broke his late grandmother's Rosary. Then he felt a call to learn more about the Catholic Church. After years of prayer and investigation, he converted. I don't doubt his convictions at all....in fact I respect him that much more. I think of how hard that journey must have been for him. He lost many friends, and almost lost his wife in the process. As it turns out, she convert a couple of years after he did.

Hi again ... I'm not lost ... just really tied up at work and with some family issues. Just thought I would pop in and say a quick Hi. When things quiet down here, I'll be back!!! Take care!
