Good evenin' pirates.

I'm heading back for ketchup, but I wanted to share my excitement with you.
I sent out my first 2 resumes on Friday & I actually go a call from one of the organizations today! 50% return rate so far! I have palns to talk with/meet folks from this group this spring, so things are in the works.

I've got time, we won't be in DC until July & I don't want to start working until Aug., but it was nice to get at least one response quickly. I did some hunting today, so I need to get another 25ish cover letters written. Oy!

Gotta get a job to pay for TOAL!

a few pages back, i mentioned a trip to nyc. it got buried quickly! but does anyone have any help/tips for a trip to nyc with kids?? it's only a one day bus trip, so not much time....but i want to maximize it the best way possible.

Central Park is beatuiful year round. The museum of Natural History is geat for kids of all ages. Ellis Island is informative yet fun. And don't forget Broadway and 1/2 price tickets at TKTS.

When we were planning on cruising out of NYC, our post-cruise plans included the Empire State Building, the Central Park zoo, and a visit to the American Girl Place for dinner. The Statue of Liberty is a good choice, too.

I'm presuming this is not a holiday season trip? If you do during the holidays that opens up a whole other set of plans.

nope...not a holiday trip. just going the beginning of may on a bus. sadly it is only for one day...i'd like a little more time, but don't want to spend too much! i'm being stingy with my money now!!
