I never really care for the books that people end up writing after the original author has died. I read all of the VC Andrews books. The ones after her death just weren't the same. I still have them out in the garage. Not sure when I will allow DD to read those. :rolleyes1

I agree. I loved her books but not the replacement ones. I read one of them and have never tried another.

Does anyone have any CHEAP ideas for how a small girl could dress up as a "Dr. Seuss character"

Laundry going here too. This morning I made myself clean the house before getting on the computer. Everything has been vacuumed & dusted, 2 of the bathrooms cleaned, kitchen cleaned, & toys in the family room reorganized. Kid things are gone in a box in the garage & DD's castle has a spot on the bookshelves. :thumbsup2

I also stopped at WM & Target this morning. Lots of 75% markdown in household...storage bins, quilts, small rugs, pillows.

You make my day seem pitiful!

It's difficult to say, because it all depends on how things fall into place. But now it's looking like it may be as early as April!! :woohoo:

Wow, you may have an Easter arrival!:cool1:

Lisa, you need to give me earlier warnings when you are going to find the
bargains.:thumbsup2 I stopped at Walmart yesterday and nothing!!!! :sad1: Are you intuitive when it comes to finding the bargains.

Well, kid's clothing is done on Monday. The bedding must have been done over the weekend. Not all of it is marked down though.

I decided to talk to a cruise agency before the PC cruise was posted. It is a huge office with at least 30 cruise agents. I ended up talking to one of the most experienced agents. She stated DCL was over-rated and expensive. I could do much better on other cruise lines. She was even on the inaugural cruise.

I guess she did not understand "love of Disney." I think once you have had the best, you never go backwards.:rolleyes1 I can't base my opinion from comparison nor will ever be able to. It will always be cruises sprinkled with pixie dust for us.:tinker:

Her problem is more likely that she doesn't do enough volume with DCL to get as good of a commission on a booking as she does with other lines. This is usually the case when you hear this from a TA. :sad2:

WOW!! I didn't realize it could be that soon....Are you taking a leave at that time?

Yes. As soon as we know for sure that we have a placement, we have agreed that we will both take our max vacation time for this year all at once. For me, that is 3 weeks. So we're hoping to take one week all of us together, then we'll each get to take seperate time (that way we get some good family time, but it will also allow each of us some one-on-one to have time to bond with the child seperately.)

It's a really exciting time in our household these days! It's sort of like being in the last trimester of pregnancy! We're just in that waiting/preparing stage!!

Lisa, while sitting at the adult pool I average reading about a book a day. I bring several with me and get the rest from the small library they have on board. I wish it was bigger.

Maybe one day I will get to go to the adult pool.

I did read a couple of the series after she died. I was surprised that there were such stand out errors in the FITA prequil with things like the color of the dress when she walked down the stairs at the big party.

I WANT A NAP NOW!!!! but the kids will be coming in the door any minute now. Tomorrow I didn't want to have anything on my to do list because I am going to a late birthday breakfast with a friend. We will be gabbing away the morning. :goodvibes

Yep!! :thumbsup2

We were talking with some friends yesterday who have 2 little girls, and we came to the realization that by summertime, we'll probably be planning playdates with their girls!!! :woohoo:

Our very first cruise was on the Wonder back in '03, and we've discussed trying another line, but it always comes down to plain fear of disappointment. I know it costs quite a bit less to cruise on other lines, but after it's all said and done, it's still a substantial amount of money to shell out no matter what line you cruise. And we're just spoiled by Disney. We're seriously afraid of being let down on another cruise line.

We keep saying we'll find another cruise line and never do. We specifically did not rebook on board this time because we were SURE out next cruise would be on RCL. Then we got home, started looking at prices and activities and such and realized we'd miss a lot of the things that made cruising special for us -- the kids being able to go to the clubs whenever they wanted, rotation dining, the shows -- and ended up booking DCL.

That's the shirt I am sending out to her this afternoon!

I was walking around my local town and some people asked me where my kids got them, they said they looked so nice, they were not amused to find out they would have to travel 4,600 miles to get them!
