I hear Crispy Cream is coming out with a whole wheat donut... I am not sure how that will go down...lol no pun intended :rotfl2: ...lol

Went to the Krispy Kreme in Denver and they had the wheat donuts... yeah, stick with what you know best KK! They were o k a y but don't compare in the slightest to the Originals! Although, they would probably be better if they had come off the assembly line.

Oh great. This is our first house to ever have wh in the attic and there are TWO up there and guess what- they are almost directly OVER OUR BED in our bedroom! What brilliant GENIUS came up with the idea of putting water heaters in the attic anyway??? Perfectly good space in the garage or a closet or something. *sigh*
I don't even want to think about them leaking and now I have to think about HOW to drain them every year...

I think they make pans to put under them so that the obvious distaster doesn't occur.

A submarine sandwich (or just submarine where context would exclude the sea vessel, or even just sub) is any of various sandwiches made on a long roll (usually at least 12" long by 3 " wide) or baguette (called "French bread" or a "submarine roll" in the U.S.) , so called because of its shape.

...

Common local variations include grilled onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, ketchup or tomato sauce. The cheese is usually American, cheddar, provolone, or Cheez Whiz. Cheesesteaks are strongly associated with the Philadelphia area, while "steak and cheese" is more often heard elsewhere.

Where do you find this stuff?

It's really interesting. Next you'll be looking up Cincinnati Chili for us. (strange stuff, but yummy! I prefer the 3-way, myself. Impossible to find in CA though.)

Well that was too easy Diane!!
I'll think of another . . .

What you got goin' on, besides google-ing regionalisms?

I'm actually in the middle of a game of literati on yahoo with my sister who now lives in Florida, but I can't resist looking things up on Wikipedia. I love Wikipedia.

Cincinnati chili (or "Cincinnati-style chili") is a regional style of chili characteristically served over spaghetti or as a coney sauce. While served in many regular restaurants, it is most often associated with several fast-food chains in the Cincinnati area, including Skyline Chili, Gold Star, Empress, and Dixie. Cincinnati chili is mostly served in restaurants around the Tri-State area, with locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. However, it now can be found in locations in Florida, Michigan, and West Virginia. Frozen and canned chili is also sold by the Cincinnati-based grocer Kroger in other states in the USA. Canned chili is available online through the web sites of the major chains.

According to the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau, Cincinnatians consume more than two million pounds of chili each year, topped by 850,000 pounds of shredded cheddar cheese. Each September, the city celebrates "Chilifest" at Yeatman's Cove at the Ohio River, with food and entertainment.[1]

Flying is easy...........its the landings that are tough LOL !!!!

If ya think about it this way............. The Earth is flying thru Space......;)

Shouldnt be a prob !!!

Easy for you to say. I actually love to fly. I would much rather fly anytime than drive. (Although my control issues make sure that I'm always the driver).....my problem is the confinement. I don't like sitting there for any length of time with no way out.

IMO the ONLY way to eat chili is on top of pasta smothered in cheddar.

All the Ohioans are asleep right now...somebody remind me to start a Romanburger conversation later.

I put that & another bday gift for later this year seperate from everything else because I wanted to be able to get to it easily this month to ship it out. UGH! Now I can't find the bag anywhere in this house!!!

Let me tell you about the time I had to wake up oldest DD so she could tell me where I hid the candy for the Easter baskets! :rotfl:

I have never in my life had chili over spagetti. :confused3 I do like cheddah & onions on top though.

Does this Cincinatti Chili have beans? Does it have a smoother consistency?

No beans. Not chunky. Very smooth consistency. Almost like a spaghetti sauce - but with the flavor of chilli.

Oh, and it has cocoa in it.

Someone mentioned cabinets earlier?

A milkshake is:

in the United Kingdom and the New England region of the United States, a beverage which is made from milk and flavourings.
in Canada and most regions of the United States, a beverage which is made from milk, ice cream, and other flavourings such as fruit and chocolate sauce. This usage is also common in the United Kingdom, alongside the above.
A milkshake made with ice cream, as in North America, is also known as: a thickshake in the United Kingdom, a frappe (pronounced "frap") in parts of New England and Canada, and a cabinet in Rhode Island [1].

Throughout the United States, especially in fast food and casual dining restaurants, a milkshake may be referred to simply as a shake. When an ice cream milkshake is made with malted milk, it is generally called a "malt" or a "malted."
