That is exactly why I want to be on at least one of the inaugural voyages for the new ships. The Swag!

I personally would NOT wish to be on the first cruises, one/ The ships will take time to settle down, TWO/problems occur, THREE/crew need to get to know the ships, FOUR/Meals never served before in the new resturants. You read of sooo many problems on new ships,

When they start service prices will fall on the DM & DW, so I would go for that, I think the new ships will start on the bread and butter carribean routes first leaving the DM&DW to travel afar.! Shipyards have delays so it will be moved back anyway!

That picture is the only time we had ever had one of the Shutters guys approach us on CC ...or anywhere....so I was excited to have a shot of us with the ship in the background.

We bought at DVC now OKW in 95, added on at VB 97 and added on again at SSR in 04. I would really like to buy more VB points so that we could make sure that we could stay in one of the beach cottages a week every other year. But honestly we have enough points.

Do you all use your points for cruising? We did for our 1st 2 cruises then IMO the points started getting expensive to use like that.

We used points for our 1st and 2nd Disney Cruises. Then, as you said, it became way to expensive to use points........DCL must have figured out too many DVCers were going on cruises!!!!

We own at BWV and VWL currently. We had also owned at VB, but had a BAD experience with bugs in the room................ FGM got over going to VB after the 2nd trip.........so we sold our VB points last year.

Oh, man I remember the ciggies in the sock trick. Never thought of the fact that our clothes reeked of smoke

Yes, we did think we were fooling our parents didn't we???

When I started smoking cigs were 55 cents a pack in 1975. When I quit they were $2.50. That was in 1994 when my Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. I smoked 2 packs a day. I put the $5.00 a day in a can and after one year took our kids on an awesome vacation to WDW with the savings!!

I hate to admit it, but to this today I miss a good smoke. And in Every Single Dream I dream I am SMOKING! That fact that I am smoking is relevant in the dream, but I always have a cigarette in my hand. Weird huh?

I was lucky - they smoked so it was natural for my clothes to smell that way. Now my breathe was another matter...

Andy I also really enjoyed reading the list of childhood memories. Those were the good ol' days!
