Hi... I just got caught up in reading the posts and I probably shouldn't post right now, because to be honest, I'm a little upset and bewildered. Yes I did read on the other board that they were having a picnic. Yes I did sign up on the other board and only have one post, as they have a rule about lurkers. I really feel like you are a bunch of fun people, and I was trying to do my bit to fit in by offering to look into this for a gathering. I'm sorry if you thought I was trying to push everyone onto meeting the other board. That wasn't my intent. It seems alot of you know each other from previous cruises, and this was my attempt to belonging. After reading all the responses to my offer to investigate, I don't really feel like one of the wenches on this cruise.

I feel bad and a little guilty typing this right now, but I do want to be apart of this group, and enjoy a fantastic cruise with all of you. Please let me know if you want me to look into this further as an event for the DIS Board pirates on the Saturday or Friday before the cruise on an evening other than the other board.

I don't think anyone is mad at you. It was nice of you to offer to look into the Happiest Picnics as an option for a DisMeet at DL. And I don't think anyone is mad at the people from the other board, either. Someone, at worst, made a lapse in judgement (don't know who it was), by emailing everyone on Lisa's list about the other board.

This is definately not an "us vs them" thing. That wouldn't make for a very fun cruise.

I, for one, would like you to look into it. I think it sounds fun. I only "know" a couple of people on this cruise and am familiar with a couple of others, so it is not like we are all some big gang who all know each other and you'd be an outsider. On my last cruise, I knew no one when I started posting and made some good friends by getting involved.

I don't know the history behind all this stuff with the "group that must not be named" nor do I want to, but I certainly hope there is not a DISboards vs. You-Know-Who thing going on that will spoil the fun, because I'll probably stop posting here if that's how it will be.

Yes there are. We have a 1600 sq.ft. 3 Bed.1 1/2 bath, 2 living areas,2 car attached,all brick,on a corner acre lot. Paid $57,000. 12 yrs. ago.

Please tell me these were not from moped accidents. Hope you have all of yours behind you. I am always knocking on wood b/c I've never had surgery and figure they will all come when I am 60.

I don't know how they send out their emails. I was surprised I got it since I haven't gotten a single email from them before. The only thing I can think of is that I just recently got my CC# and logged onto that page on the site.

I wanted to be one but wasn't smart enough. All the physics in college did me in. E-mag, re-mag and three-mag.

Well, if we're comparing battle wounds, in addition to my knee surgery, I have had six wrist surgeries in the last 11 years to remove various cysts that the dr says are caused by my tendons being like .0001% too short. The last one was the most intense because I he fixed the "new mother's tendonitis" I got after DD was born. Actually, I'm due for another one. It's been almost two years.

Yeah, the 65GBP for the car from Heathrow to Basingstoke was a tip-off. The prices didn't seem so bad until I realized I had to double them to get an accurate dollar comparison.

Okay, so did anyone watch Grey's Anatomy last night. I thought it was pretty weak compared with the last two. They kept hyping up the "startling outcome". Not such a big surprise, really.

I did see it on their site and looked into it online. I was checking to see if there would be enough interest for us to plan our own picnic. Or we could look into joining them as well. I'm willing to investigate further if there is interest.

I don't want to get flamed for this, I'm not insinuating that we can't work together, it's just that we seem to be getting to know each other on this board and thought this kind of get-together would give us the chance to get to know each other better.

Thank you for clarifying your intentions. Under the circumstances, it will need to be a separate endeavor. Disneypilots has volunteered to help organize the DL meet on 8/16/08. Would you like to work with him as part of that? It sounds like a great opportunity to get to talk with each other instead of just gathering outside of a ride.

Did anyone see that poor 13 y/o Florida boy was abducted at gunpoint at his school bus stop at 9am this morning? He apparently was found walking a few hours later. Don't know all the details yet. Glad he's alive, but it's so sad these things happen.
