Are your tags new? They're quite strking--bright pink & DIS green!

Nope - I got them a few months ago. I think it was when there was the whole leadup to the WAPASDI (or however it is spelled) thing. The first was because I posted something about it was so nice to know that the Tag Fairy was real (because she/he posted on the thread). The second one was from a thread about antenna toppers. The discussion was about them being stolen and I posted about how we have only lost 1 and it might have just fallen off or something....

Isn't is crazy how excited we can get about being tagged? I was THRILLED the day I got mine. DH didn't get it at all - but fortunately we were going to dinner with some DIS freinds that night (they live about 10 miles away - but we met them on the DIS on the meet thread for our first DCL cruise!). They totally understood why I was so excited. Actually, that reminds me when exactly it was - it was Guy Fawkes Day (November 5th)! We actually burned a guy that night (OK - this may only make sense to the British contingent on this thread!)

I will NEVER let DD get her hair braided. That is too painful. They have information in the first day's navigator about where to sign up for an appointment on the ship though.

It's only painful if you let them do the little thin braids.

If you TELL them you want them thicker...They will do them the non-hurt way. (wwell it does pull a little at first; but nothing like the small ones)

What is the London shade thing? I've never heard of those before.

I've heard of London Bridge and Roman Shades, but not London Shades.

London shades are like Romans but more relaxed looking. The one I am making is Stationary so it does not go up and down.
Here is a picture of it as it is right now. Remember it is still in the construction phase. It will look better when all finished.

Thanks for the compliment. I have done many balloon shades in my years. I actually have them in our kitchen.

I received my copy of the confirmation from my travel agent today (everyone else probably got theirs ages ago) . . . I noticed that Puerto Villarta is our only really late day at port. It's too bad Acapulco couldn't be later, since the night-time cliff divers (with torches in their hands) show begins at 7 PM, I think. Maybe they will change that departure time eventually (they certainly put in enough disclaimers about being able to change ports, times, etc.). It's also interesting that they put the arrival and departure time for the Panama Canal, even though we are on the ship the entire day.

At any rate, having something come in the mail about this cruise certainly makes it seem more real!

Yes, I will need the names on the reservation along with the reservation number with DCL. I wont post that information anywhere.

Of course DS thinks this is a silly performance for his entertainment benefit!

My father was a tailor and my mother was a seemstress and a nurse. They taught me alot. I helped them sew in their shop many a day. I also iron.
