I'm on a mission to see all the parks too. It caught on during the 50th anniversary for DL. I was going to hit them all during that celebration. Well some things came up and I didn't make it to Paris, then they go and open up in China on me! But I did get visits in to DL, WDW and Tokyo Disney.

This has been my dream too, to visit every Disney park in the world and stay at each of their flagship hotels/resorts. It has been one of the highlights of my life, besides my kids of course. I even went to Disneyland Paris before WDW...how that happened, I have no idea....
My sister in law is from Hong Kong, so eventually HKDL will happen! It doesn't have much right now, so I don't really count it. LOL
I am going to wait a little more for that one. The others, definitely worth it. My favorite? Disneyland, of course!

Yeah well my dog seems to have acquired Norwalk or the likes and keeps pooping everywhere. .......no not bricks........picture splats.....

Thanks for the picture image. Just what I needed before getting on Amtrak this morning1!! ;)

They're usually quotes from the person posting. That leads me to believe that I only think I'm smart & funny.

....either that or the Tag Fairies are all my in-laws.

Hi Enna

want to hear something awful? I 'share' ( as if I really did!) my name with my daughter - actually I 'pirated' it away some years back. She just totally stopped using it unbeknownest to me. So one time about 1 month ago - I came online and got jealous cuz I thought that my DD got 'tagged' by the fairy and I didn't when I was trying so hard to come up with 'cute and unusal' sayings. Then last week, she was looking over my shoulder and asked me - "Hey, how'd you put that in under your name." Had no clue what she was talking about until I realized, she didn't do it - and I know that I didn't do it - so I have to assume that we got visited by the tag fairy and I have absolutely no clue how, when or where it happened. :sad2:

My next thought was that the tag fairy took pity on us and made up some line for us - but my daughter said that they way my mind thinks, it could well be something I said, and only the tag fairy knows......

So the moral of my story - I didn't get to enjoy my tag until way after the fact.....don't know if there's any hope for me. :upsidedow The story of my life!;) Cheer up - when you least expect it - meanwhile I'll keep all my fingers and toes crossed and I'll even enlist DD's fingers and toes too! ;)

I know but my wife is very upset that we do not have an assignment yet. She has already gone thru all the phases of mourning except the last:

acceptance.

I know that look...

... but for different reasons....

:confused3

Me too!

I have re-occuring nightmares of getting "Bumped" at the cruise terminal (like on an airline) and waving goodbye to everyone as they sail away.

Thay CAN't dp that without compensating you - BIG TIME!

... and most likely with 18 months to go ... there is almost certainly going to be a number of folks for whom (unfortunately) things will change and they will cancel.

HOWever... I choose to subscribe to the belief they have NOT heavily oversold... and that merely their booking system was unable to assign so many cabins at once... so they set thier system to offer mostly guarantee basis cabins. And they are now taking their sweet time about sorting through who gets what.

SO hang tough! It' will all turn our just fine for all of us DIS folks!

Fully agree.

Is anyone looking into Liquor store locations in Ca. Since we're flying I'll need to purchase these items prior to embarcation.

Alright guys - not sure about Anaheim but there is a Liquor warehouse in Downy/Bellflower - about 3 miles from my house - they are supposed to have the best prices on liquor in town - I personally haven't been there but all my local friends know where it is along with the the young employees at my local Sav-on/CVS drugstoreas well as most strangers I ask locally. They all tell me to shop there. This will make it about it 15 miles from Anaheim. However, I can ask my sister who lives in Long Beach where the best place is to get liquor down by the port - :rolleyes1 not meaning to imply anything on her behalf of course! Just let me know if you all want me to ask.

But on another note, on our last trip to Vegas, DH was flabbergasted to find a bottle of Patron Tequila in SUPERSIZE - 1.75 L to be exact!!!!!! He was so excited that he ended up buying 2 JUST BECAUSE HE LIKED THE SIZE OF THE BOTTLE - :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: - who's he trying to kidd? Then his next excuse was that it was only $75 - which later ended up being comped so in reality - I can't yell at him since it was bought and paid for through blood, sweat and tears......a true pirate: me mate be.....ARGHHHH!

Share and Share Alike

An elderly couple walk into Mcdonalds. They order one hamburger, one order of fries and one drink.

The old man unwraps the plain hamburger and carefully cuts it in half. He places one half in front of his wife. He then carefully counts out the fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placing one pile in front of his wife. He takes a sip of the drink, his wife takes a sip and then sets the cup down between them. As he begins to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them keep looking over and whispering "That poor old couple - all they can afford is one meal for the two of them."

As the man begins to eat his fries a young man comes to the table. He politely offers to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man replies that they''re just fine - they''re just used to sharing everything.

The surrounding people noticed the little old lady hadn''t eaten a bite. She sits there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again the young man comes over and begs them to let him buy another meal for them.

This time the old woman says "No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything."

As the old man finishes and was wipes his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again comes over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asks "May I ask what is it you are waiting for?"

The old woman answers...

"THE TEETH."

I did have a GTY on the last repo, do not worry, I saw all these worry's posted before, and as I say they have sold off some rooms this week, someone posted here this week getting a CAT 9. So DCL are organised and know what they ae doing.

Plus most upgrades are from GTY's.

I ran a survey recently on the DIS... it was mildly comprehensive and evaluated several considerations where I had curiosity: IE, what were the assignments folks obtained (simple enough), but what were he assignments IF you were a Castaway Club repeat patron versus a 1st timer? And what if you booked direct with DCL versus a TA? AND... I asked how many folks were happy with the location they received?

IN general... my unaudited survey suggested that CC patrons were less likely to receive a big bump in upgrade. And the possibility of getting from say a cat 12 guarantee to a veranda was almost zero... versus the same chance for a 1st timer had potential! In fact, the best a CC could hope for was a bump to a window while a couple of 1st timers reported they got bumped from a 12 Guar up to as high as a 6 veranda!

Oh yeah... most folks say they were happy with their cabin locations too.

All right who's out there? There's got to be someone other me myself on here? No late owls or early birds? Guess I shouldn't take this as a personal note on me - I'm not like boring here am I? :sad2: :sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

Computer Diagnosis

One day a Disser on this thread complained to his friend that his elbow really hurt. His friend suggested that he go to a computer at the drug store that can diagnose anything quicker and cheaper than a doctor.

''Simply put in a sample and the computer will diagnose your problem and tell you what you can do about it. It only costs $10." Bill figured he had nothing to lose, so he filled a jar with a sample and went to the drug store.

Finding the computer, he poured in the sample and deposited the $10. The computer started making some noise and various lights started flashing. After a brief pause out popped a small slip of paper on which was printed: "You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water. Avoid heavy lifting. It will be better in two weeks."

Later that evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was and how it would change medical science forever, he began to wonder if this machine could be fooled. He mixed together some tap water, a sample from his dog and samples from his wife and daughter. To top it off, he gargled in some water and put that into the concoction.

He went back to the drug store, located the machine, poured in the sample and deposited the $10. The computer again made the usual noise and printed out the following message:

"Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener.

Your dog has worms. Get him vitamins.

Your daughter is using cocaine. Put her in a rehabilitation clinic.

Your wife is pregnant with twin girls. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer.

And if you don't stop posting on the Disboards, your wife will run off, and your tennis elbow will never get better."

ok all - guess that I'd better get me booty to bed as its late and I was forced to get up early - that's my story and I'm sticking to it :rotfl2: . I will probably lose all track of posts and forget where I was last at so can you all try and keep it down? :rotfl:

In all serious though, if I typed something volunteering myself to do something - I have proof that it was my daughter and not me.......:lmao: Just kidding - just remind if I give you that blank look - yeah that about sums it up.

Nite all - I think - DH is snoring up storm so we'll see.
