Don't be havin too much fun now. I wouldn't want to feel like I was a missin anything.

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
A pirate walks into a bar wearing a paper towel on his head. He sits down at the bar and orders some dirty rum.

The bartender asks, "Why are you wearing a paper towel?"

"Arrr..." says the pirate. "I've got a bounty on me head!"
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

Way to go with the Pirate Caroline... Wenches rule!!

Love that. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah Zoo Crisco! I can't believe how many pages I've missed in about 30 mins!!!

What kind of ROAST BEAST are you having Diane???

Arby's?? Kelley's??

Sorry late in replying.....

We have a place in Beverly called Nick's "Famous" Roast Beef. It is not fake like Arbys & I find Kelly's a bit too fatty. It's similar to a Bill & Bob's, if you know what Bill & Bob's is? :confused3 Anyway it's really the most tender melt in your mouth roast beef around. Even my family has to eat there when they come up from Florida to visit. I had Bah Ba Que sauce, instead of mayo because I'm watching my daily point intake.

Wow that is really cool! But why diet? Regular doesn't work??? :confused3

The Myth Busters tv show on Discovery did a segment on it (available on utube), they also have a Pirate special: Episode 71: Pirate Special

Oh, so it was "ROAST BEEF" afterall and not "ROAST BEAST" you had. ;)

Enna---I think youare great. Dont judge a DISby their tag......
You are very funny, quick witted but remember the poor tag fairy isn't around all the time and I am sure she has a hard time keeping up with this thread...

Judy, you are way too kind.

Thanks for the moral support today. I know I'll feel better when I can get out of my icebound status. Between the sick kid and the puking dog, and the endless dishes & laundry AND putting wood in the fire, I feel like Cinderella...you know....before the magic wand.

Judy,

I have decided that I'm going to give us a daily "Enna has no tag" update until the Tag Fairy decides to take pity on me.

Day One: All the cool people get tags. Enna does not. Maybe tomorrow.

Hey I resemble that remark! Definitely NOT cool! ;) Anyway I guess I insulted the tag fairy by calling her a creature, but I meant that in the best of ways. Just a small creature that is not quite human. You know a little beautiful creature like Tink. :tinker: Has special powers? Is it working?

:bday: Curtis and Don!! Hope the day was great!

Yeah, I'm really struggling with the whole "kids' show idol" routine. I have always HATED the kids' character shoes with the velcro closures...With a PASSION!!! And I have always SWORN up and down and back again that I WILL NOT allow my children to wear them.
But then I see friends' children wearing them...and these are friends who seemed just as unrelenting and unwavering on the issue as I've always been! And they defend it by saying, "Oh, she wouldn't leave the store without them." OR, "They're so much easier with the velcro..." :headache:

I'm a Stride Rite kinda girl. I think that a good fit and proper support are important in kids' shoes...Am I wrong?!?! :confused3

OK, I'm not sure how I was able to turn this whole discussion into an internal debate in my head about shoe quality...SORRY...:sad2:

Nope - I'm with ya on this one. I refused to by anything for DS that wasn't up to my standards - which I admit are odd at times, but I refused to allow him in an umbrella stroller, to have shoes that didn't fit properly or give the proper support, etc. etc. Well, my MIL goes out behind my back and buys him some character shoes from Aldi's for $1 or $2, of course they don't fit and they fall apart after 2 wearings - which promptly became my fault! And of course I'm the ungrateful DIL!

Oh Enna and here I am being a big stupid braggard about my new tag. Sorry, I just saw if (after a while I might add) and I got excited.

Did Shelley get one?

Dear Tag Fairy, please tag all our pirate friends.....they are all superty cool! Thank you :lmao:

My fave show as an older child....

Isis

I loved that one too! Remember Shazam!

Arby's?? Kelley's??

Kelly's. Used to be that I'd fly out of Boston, just to stop at Kelly's on the way down and back. There have a been a couple times my family has driven down to Saugus just to go to Kelly's. We've been going there since it was just at Revere Beach. Used to be a tradition to go to the big boat show every President's day then stop at Kelly's at Revere Beach, middle of February, freeze to get carry out and a couple quarts of clam chowdah to go home. Only place I'll eat clam chowdah.

HOWEVER, there's this new place in Portland, Henry VIII's - WOW!! - that might give Kelly's Roast Beef a run for their money.

Great Googly Moogly! I'm 72 pages behind now.
Keep it down, would ya?
